Bruins fan - Just wanted to say I hope it's a good game - good series. These teams should play some solid hockey.
My 17 year old nephew is a big Leafs fan and despite the teasing I've given him (and other Leaf fans I know) I'm just thrilled that he gets to watch his team in the playoffs and made me think of being a kid and watching games and how although the Bruins never won, I got to sit around in the spring and... anyways.
It's been a tough decade for y'all. Win or lose, I hope it's an enjoyable run and that you get to watch some fine pulse quickening edge of your seat games.

I think the Leafs - and, in particular, Kessel - are going to suprise a lot of people over the next week. Let everyone count us out.

In the words of the immortal Mike Tyson "if he (they) ain't dead, it don't count." Metaphorically speaking, of course.

YES! It's GAME DAY! Finally! We've waited like 4000-something days (according to Professor Healy) for this. I'm ready, I'm PUMPED!

We so excited!

<Remier is already warming up!

Just keep pestering Chara till he takes penalties.
Not picking my spots here, but I notice that as well. He has also lost a step, which can be expected. He looked a step behind everyone in that final Ottawa game. Small sample size, of course. He is still going to give Kessel fits, but if Kess can utilize his speed, he should give himself a lot of chances.

Anyways, probably lose my Canuck card for saying this but it's good to see you guys back in the playoffs. You guys suffered to long.

Good luck and obliterate Marchand.

Chara's probably too nice and worries about players hurting themselves when they hit him, that's why he looks uncomfortable.

9 hours from now.... Destiny awaits. The beginning of a triumph so sweet, so Devine that most only experience it in dreams. A real life bliss no scientist has a formula for... No religion has a belief or scripture of.... Just pure, unadulterated real life harmony that can be experienced only when one accomplishes such a feat as the Stanley Cup. Tonight, our journey begins in earnest. Bring on the Bruins. Bring on the Non believers and naysayers... For we Maple Leafs have a resistance so strong it has been fermenting for 9 years. No one shall stand in our path. Righteousness awaits. Victory awaits! GO LEAFS GO!

We need to earn a split here in Boston and preferably a win tonight to cast a seed of doubt within the Bruins with two full days in between the first two games.

With that said, I'm still thinking the Bruins are going to give the Leafs the boot in five games.

So pumped. Only problem is that since its on CBC that means my budweiser goal light will be going off before the goals go in.

I'm interested to see how much the Team can ramp up the intensity.

They really need to weather the 1st 10 minutes or it could be a long night.

That's true. In fact, if they come out of the first period tied 0-0, I think they Leafs will win the game. But the key here is how they start and the confidence they could gain (or lose) from it.

anyone else rockin leafs gear right now?

its going to be a very physical game, we need to get the crowd out of it early and keep the momentum away from them, a quick goal would go a long way.

I think that's going to be the biggest factor.

We have to come out like the Blues did last night.

They got embarrassed by the Kings last year and swept in the playoffs after a great regular season...

Last night they were the more desperate team and they got the job done.

Hit everybody who has the puck...and shoot the puck from all angles and get rebounds. This Bruins team does not give you fancy goals, you have to work hard for each and every goal you score against them.

You know that feeling you get when you're really anxious and wanna puke? Yeah, that's me today. I'm excited but I'm all kinds of nervous for them. There's a lot of guys on the team that are about to experience their first ever playoffs. Hopefully they've got adrenaline pumping through their veins because I've got the nerves covered for them.
