^like the Lindholm pick for the Oilers, but i just have a gut feeling that if Monahan is gone, and it appears he's the big, talented center they want at #7, they might try to trade down, say for example to #14 with Columbus, get an extra pick or player with it and take Curtis Lazar.

also have a feeling that the Oilers will likely take Michael McCarron at #37 if he's still there. i like the Morin pick, but apparently he needs to work on his foot speed and the Oilers already have a slow-ish d-man in the system who'll likely be released this summer in Alex Plante, so the likelyhood of them taking another big slow d-man to replace him at #37 is remote in my opinion only.

and i could absolutely see the Oil taking d-man Linus Arnesson at #58, but the system is pretty stacked with d-men of similar talent, so not sure if they'd take him or another gritty forward which is what the Oil should still be looking for in the 2nd round.

I really like this for Toronto. I'd prefer Fucale, but if we aren't taking him, Lazar is the forward I want. He's such a fantastic player, i'm not sure why he's slipped like he has. It kinda irks me when I always see us taking Rychel.. yes, he's a good player, but it seems to me that the reason is because Warren played here. I want the best player available, not the best story. I'll take Lazar over Rychel 11/10 times.

^i have seen the same stuff in other mock's from time to time with Max Domi going to the Leafs, just because his dad played there....he wasn't neccessarily the BPA.

Would prefer Wennberg at #12, but wouldn't complain if Shinkaruk was taken instead. Coyotes need impact forwards, and both have that upside.

Curious why you took Martin at #42 when Forward is such a critical need for the Yotes? Bailey, Bjorkstand, and Carrier figure to go in the 2nd, and if one is there at #42 they take him. Goalies Mark Visentin, Mike Lee, Louis Domingue, and Marek Langhammer are in the pipeline, and the org is very happy with its young depth in goal moving forward.

Lindholm, Morin, McCarron is amazing for the Oil, but it won't happen Morin will go in the first and McCarron is a high second rounder, also I would take Ristolainen over Lindholm at 7.

I'm a big fan of Morin ,but I doubt he goes in the first. Just my opinion though.

Petan is most likely not going to get drafted by the Blue Jackets. His size is an issue.

Not bad but I don't see Petan going to CBJ at #19. They have several "small" forwards that are young. I could see a guy like Lazar at #19 and Lodge or McCarron in the 2nd round. LIkely there will be one d-man taken in their top 4 picks but if those players were available, we need skill in the system.

You don't like Tristan Jarry as a guy who goes in the first two rounds?

Outside that, solid mock and really like it for the Oil.

Love this for Buff.
There's just something about Nichushkin, I don't know what to call it, courage? recklessness? it's similar to taylor hall's end to end rushes.
Believe that Grigorenko and Nichushkin would be perfect.
Armia-Grigs-Nichushkin

What a line.

There are two reasons I have Jarry just outside of the Top 60

1. He is not getting much playing time.
2. He is playing behind one of the best defenses in the CHL

However I can still see him getting taken in the bottom half of the second round.

Fair points. Personally, I think he's a better goalie than Broissoit, but Broissoit is getting the PT based on experience. I think he could very easily end up being the top goalie out of this draft, and some teams will regret taking other goalies ahead of him.

I see hagg going in the 1st and would love for Calgary to pick him up with pits 1st. Other than that it seems pretty solid. I think Domi and Shinkaruk could be flipped as well. Shinkaruk's the better player IMO

I am not a huge fan of Hägg. Did not really impress me at the World Juniors in January and after that he was very inconsistent in Sweden. And at the WJC-18 he was not good at all. I think his draft stock has heavily declined over the second half of the season and thats why I put him outside of the 1st round

I like Domi more then Shinkaruk. Even though he is smaller, he is more physical then Shinkaruk. Shinkaruk might be the better goal scorer, but overall I feel Domi is a better player. Loved what he did in the OHL Playoffs.

I know Montreal's goaltending depth isn't the best in NHL, but why would they pick Fucale with their 1st ?

I can definitely see them choosing him with Nashville's pick.

Solid list!

Love the Monahan / McCoshen picks. I would probably take Hartman or Klimchuck over Rychel though.
