Islanders best stretch of the season had Strait and Reasoner nowhere near it. I like Strait but he may not be in sync with the team. Martinek/Carkner should be the rotation.

Reasoner - no

Looking back at the reasoner hit, he def did extend his leg out, but to say it was kneeing is awful...

Granted, I'll retract my statement before... Not as dirty as going knee on knee, but not clean either... I guess they don't have 5 min major tripping, so maybe that's why they called it kneeing? Idk

Wow, did you skip you mensa meeting to write that, or maybe you should hit the sheets as you have to catch the school bus in the morning.

One game, that's all they have to steal in the first two in Pitt. We'll see what happens Friday night.

Um, yeah.... maybe if our forwards weighed more than 160 lbs., the hitting might have made a difference.

Biggest disappointment.... Matt Martin and Colin McDonald.

Team's getting slaughtered and they did what they've done a number of times this season... they pussed out.

They should have started running people and trying to take someone's head off.

Boy do I miss guys like Benoit Hogue, Steve Thomas, and Rich Pilon. You know, real men.

Matt Martin should go primp his pretty hair and ready himself for his hot date with Boomer's daughter. Puss job.

Martinek.

Carkner only if this series gets out of hand.

Strait sucks.

well, that was terrible.....not much else to say.....

we looked terrible and i am not confident right now, however, if we win game 2, we did our job in pitt

not that i prefer 5-0 , but it is the same **** as 3-2 in OT

Cappy should not play any of the young guys. The pens literally ***** slapped a current team that played a lot of NHL regular season games. If you put those young guys in, the Pens will be salivating at the mouth ready to lay one on one of the kids from the AHL. Don't risk their future like that to win 1 playoff series.

Strait was actually one of the better D on the ice tonight. Streit, Visnovski, and Amac all got beat by the Penguins speed tonight.

I'll eat my words if they steal game 2.

I fully expect another ass kicking with these pansy *****.

No physical fight on this team.... none.

We're the team that turns the other cheeck. It's fun losing gracefully.

LOL. Matt Martin and Colin McDonald were the biggest disappointments? I guess that means you were satisfied with the compete level from Moulson and Boyes tonight?

And to think, we signed that scrub for 3 more years.

Anyone else surprised Cap didn't pull the goalie with 14 minutes left in the 3rd?

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. This is exactly what the problem is: this team is WEAK. JT gets nailed all game-and nobody seems to care or do anything. I've been saying it all season-that's the biggest problem with this team: the culture. Having skilled players is great-not playing physical is a problem. The Pens showed tonight that you can do both. We got outworked, outplayed, outmuscled, outcoached-we just were pathetic. It's going to be a very short series.

Oh and the kicker? All of this without Crosby-we he comes back it'll only get worse.

After the way Tavares was tossed around like a neglected toy tonight, I'm going to be deeply disappointed if I don't see Crosby put on his ass and flattened into the boards multiple times when he comes back.

Did you not see Matt Martin with JT & Boyes?
The issue is our top 6 are not comparable to Pens top 6.

Boston also beat TML by a wide margin.

Amazingly, this was the most heart Boyes has showed in weeks. Go figure.

As for Moulson, they should show him the "Where are they now?" on Mark Parrish. That coat tail rider is a season away from being in the same place.

The Isles haven't played well since the game before they clinched. Tavares did his best Crosby impersonation. Crosby didn't play, and Tavares was invisible as well. We are going to get swept, but happy they made the playoffs regardless. The kids need playoff experience even if they get blown out. Unfortunately the Islanders might have shot their load too early, were playing their best hockey 2 weeks ago, haven't seen that level of play since then, and don't know if we'll see it again until next season. Still a great year for Isle's fans, playoffs and a new home announced, all in the same year.

That was for 2 reasons:

1. Matt Moulson was a disgrace for that past 20 games. This game was no exception. About time they demoted that scrub.

2. In the event that Pitt got cute with JT. You sure as **** know that Moulson would do nothing but stand there and get punched in the mouth. Either that or fall down and act injured to avoid the beating.
