2nd period was quite bull ****.

If you arent going to call boarding when you see it, don't call it at all.

They're going to need a strong push out of the gate in the third and get the lead early and hope they can hang on. I don't see them getting a goal late while they're short on the bench having to double shift guys early and often.

Hannan has earned himself another game, barring he doesn't royally screw up in the third.

His partner (Boyle) hasn't been impressive at all either.

Thornton is just looking like blah. He needs to get the puck off his stick quicker

Boyle's been significantly worse than Irwin.

The team would be a lot better if they put Hannan or Stuart with Boyle and Irwin with the other.

With the Couture love tonight and this season, I just thought it might be fun to go back and look at some of the comments made at the 07 draft:

He would have been there at 13, easily would have been there at 13 with all the talent left on the big board.

His hockey sense is elite, and last I checked that amounts to something.

His hands are sick, his vision is top notch and he's a great play maker.

Personally, I ranked him in the mid 20's because I think his skating is a major concern and he will just end up being an elite third liner, nothing wrong with that .. BUT! some view him as a first line center, second line center at the least.. so we'll see.

One thing I like about Logan is that he can do anything, he makes the players around him better, and makes them accountable.

Teams win with this kind of a kid. I hope we do now also.

Plus, even though I have him in the mid 20's.. one can't argue with Tim Burke.
Whoops.

Also, Kerry Fraser on the intermission for TSN says that Raymond got away with interference.

Very impressed with the Sharks' physical play tonight. Last year they were heavily outclassed in that department against the Blues. Torres really was a great pickup.

Also, agreed that Thornton and Boyle look pretty mediocre tonight. Stuart and Hannan have been surprisingly solid and Couture, Burns and Galiardi have been awesome as expected.

Damn. I wish I was around that time to be a part of history. Because you know I would be one of the quoted ones.

Kerry fraser and the rest if the TSN panel agreeing canucks goal shouldnt have counted due to goalie interference. We have the ref curse i think. The 2011 series was the same.

He shot the puck. A good shot too. He shot to score not to for a rebound. A tear came down my face.
