For anyone interested in seeing the video go to NHL.com and watch their game recap from last night, they do show the play and call it out.

I don't know if I'd call it a spear, it looks more like an upward slash.

Ya it looked like it hurt. Hard to say if it was intentional or not, although I wouldn't put it past Bieksa to do it on purpose.

Maybe I missed it being discussed(5+threads,lol) but the Sharks played 55minutes down a forward and actually had their legs in the 3rd..Kudos to TMAC and the boys in teal for stepping up..Have not looked at the ice time yet but very interested to see TOI...Well done Sharks, keep it going.....

It looks like TMac's plan of pretty even distribution of ice time and days off is paying off.

The 4th line's minutes were pretty low (can't really complain about that for Burish, though) but at least the disparity was worse for the Canucks.

Burish was trash again. I keep hoping he'll step up and at least troll someone or knock someone down but the one time he tried to throw a hit he got flattened! lol

Click "Sharks vs. Canucks Analysis" video.

It's after the 1st PP and they highlight Havlat getting speared.

That deserves a fine IMO, especially since it took him out of the game. Usually that's a major if the ref sees it, no?

Well looks like that conditional pick we traded to the Preds for Hannan became a 6th rounder. Oh well no big deal. I thought Hannan played alright anyway and I was thrilled to see our D shut down the Sedins and Kesler.

Its safe to say I do not like a single player on Vancouver... Wont we be seeing much more of them moving forward with divisions changing?

Thought Desjardins had a real good game, stepping up when we lost Havlat. Torres was physical and he didn't take a stupid penalty like Kassian. Wingels had that great pass to set up Boyle & Cooch was Cooch. Great road game by the Sharks.

I just read about the Vancouver coach stating that Sharks were cheating on the face offs. Can someone explain how one cheats on faceoffs?

when you see them shifting across the line (like stepping into the faceoff dot and twisting) that's cheating. When you put your stick on the ice before the home teams center, that's cheating. They slam their sticks down so fast a lot of the time the ref can't see it. etc. lots of ways to cheat, EVERYONE does it, and if they are not, they are not doing their job.

Gotta complain about something when your team gets outplayed and loses it's composure...

I'm sure this won't be the last game the Canucks play stupid in.

So, putting your stick down prior to the home team before the drop is cheating? Why? Sorry to ask these questions. Just really curious...

It's just the rules. Home team puts their stick down first.

With all the non-calls last night. The last thing i'm worried about is faceoff gimmicks.
