Its my understanding at the end of the game, you are given latitude to leave your bench, but you are not allowed to engage with the other team no matter what.

Boston's Thornton wasn't on the ice for the last minute of the game, but somehow appears in the scrum at the end of the game.

No. I believe he had a line change very, very late in the game.

Wow, as a Sharks fan, you scared the crap out of me. Could you please specify that it's Shawn in the title?

I could be wrong. I saw it with maybe two seconds left in the game.

To make sure the Leafs don't try anything in a 4-1 lopsided win?

A lot of teams do that, especially if their opponent also has a tendency to throw their tough guys on late.

Because an altercation was about to form. But that's besides the point. If he made the change in time I don't think it's against the rules. Not 100% though, just going off the top of my head.

Just found the video, Milan the Great is correct.

Paille gets called by the bench to change and Thornton hops on with 1.6 seconds left. Paille is still on the ice when the buzzer goes though, so maybe that's why the time on ice stats have him on?

Nice catch by you though. I hadn't noticed earlier.

Geeze, anyone else on the Bruins we should call for a suspension? How about Boychuk? That shot he scored on was way too hard. He might have hurt Reimer if it hit him.

Most of the fans don't think much happened here. Carlyle might have had a case at the time because he likely didn't see a replay but it was a clear line change.

Nothing to see here.

Please excuse the fickled ones.

Are you asking him to be suspended for going over to the scrum and holding onto a Leafs players jersey? Or is it strictly because of a late change?

Are either suspendable offenses?

Just trying to be clear.

Leaving the bench to get involved in an altercation could be suspendable, especially at the end of a game. Even if it's just to hold a player down and/or doing nothing. The coach can be suspended as well.

But it was a line change, even if it was at the end of the game.

Nothing to see here.
