The Kings PK is pressuring the hell out of whoever has the puck, and everyone else isn't providing timely outlets as the box opens up. The Blues are trying to rotate a guy into the high slot from the weak side to alleviate the pressure on the points, but it's just happening too slow. I'd like to see them plant a guy in the high slot from the get-go.
I know we want to blame The Blues for their lack of scoring and it's frustrating to watch them fumble the puck when they're in position to make a play, but you have to give LA credit for their play in the second that was some pretty tight defense. If The Blues don't turn it around in this next period, that worries me going to LA.
Huge save. They score there and it's a huge hole. As the game stands, I still feel very good about our chances. Only goal has been scored 5 on 3. 5 on 5 has been pretty even, possible edge to the Kings.
Yet ANOTHER time with only a few seconds left in a period, and The Blues let down, thinking the clock will save them-and the opponents get a good scoring chance!!! When will The Blues learn that lesson??? Unbelievable! Play through to the horn! We learned that in pee wee!!
