Closing in on that. Though, I will say, they still had one cheapie that was oozing with intent (Brown hit).

Unacceptable is right. Painful to watch, they're better than this.

We should be worried (response to post above). LA is an awesome playoff team. They're built for the playoffs. More than any other team in the West. There's a reason people would've rather faced them in a later round.

Absolutely... Any team with Bryan Marchment on the roster is bound to be dirty.

This 59.5 minute game they play is simply lazy. They've got a ways to go yet and haven't figured it out.

I just see forechecking, yet no pressure in front of quick. Quit hesitating and fire it! Just shoot, shoot, shoot. Open up the lanes by shooting and then work your way in....

I never want to see a player run because it's pretty disrespectful but Dustin Brown is seriously one of the biggest pieces of **** in the league and needs to go.

1) Kings are outplaying the Blues, no doubt, but not to the same degree as yesterday. The second half of period 2, the Blues started showing some life, and got back into the game.

2) Don't think that there'll be any chippy things called in the 3rd period. I think the Nolan penalty was our payback call.

3) Elliott has been great!

4) Blues still very much in this game, just need to start getting shots on net.

5) With regards to the Blues playing awful comments: Sometimes we (including me) forget that we are playing a very good hockey team that is causing us to play poorly. Not all mistakes are our guys doing something wrong, sometimes it's the other team doing something very well. The Kings are playing well tonight, better than the Blues, but that gap has been shrinking through the second period.

6) Dustin Brown is a really dirty player.

Do we keep trying the same tricks or should Hitch adjust the lines? Perron and Osh have been trying the hardest tonight. Maybe put them out there with Backes?

Thoughts on Russell getting some time next game? Not sure who comes out, but Leopold looked a little woozy after that late hit.

Lombardi was the Sharks GM in the early 00s, and Ricci is his favorite player. Just letting you guys know.

Blues just aren't getting enough sustained pressure around the Kings net. I aslo agree that we just need to shoot but that's been an issue with the Blues forwards for a while now. Kings D is doing a good job of clearing any rebound chances but we are making that job easier by not being on top of the crease.

I feel like St.Louis looks more dangerous, but then it doesn't go anywhere..pass ,pass, pass, pass then it bounces, bam outta the zone.

And he's just getting his post-suspension wind back....dirtiest player in the league IMO. He really has a lot of intent to injure plays.

While I agree that LA is good, the Blues have been extremely unwilling to put in the work this game. Their constant hesitation is terrible. Fortunately, the Blues started to turn it around.

Agreed. I don't think LA has played that great either, just better than us. Blues did pretty well the 2nd half of 2nd period. Just need to get the puck on net, and Unleash the Backes! (If I had any photoshop skills, I would totally photoshop a picture of the Kraken being unleashed with Backes, as he must be unleashed.)
