I admit, I just laughed out loud for real.

Well, I've been wanting Zigomanis for years. Good signing. His offensive production dipped a lot. Hopefully that bumps up.

Hey, I like going up from Rankin to Zigomanis. Took them a summer too long, but I'll take it.

Roy back is nice too. Surprised he's not at rookie camp.

Certainly an upgrade. Need Mancari's replacement now.

So the Lepkowski signing rounds out the D then I guess.

LHD: Bagnall, Crawford, likely McNabb, Lepkowski

RHD: JGL, likely Ruhwedel, MacKenzie

My guess on pairings:

McNabb-Ruhwedel
Bagnall-MacKenzie
Crawford-JGL
X: Lepkowski

I still expect Ristolainen here, despite what he said.

So right now in terms of veterans:

Zigomanis
Ellis
Bagnall

and possible Sabres cuts (McBain/Sulzer/Tallinder/Porter/McCormick/etc.)

Still space to grab another veteran since I don't think two of those will get sent down. Unless there are exemptions are in play which I admittedly have no clue about.

They have to replace Mancari's scoring on the wing. So I expect at least 1 more veteran forward.

Even Darcy's AHL signings are 2-3 years later than ideal. I'll take it though.

Its what makes him so good. Without his vegan powers he would be half the player.

One thing with Zigomanis -- if anyone is going to be a demonstration to the kids about nutrition and taking care of oneself, he is.

And yes, they need a winger who can score consistently at the AHL level. Darren Haydar anyone? He's worn a lot of letters.

Yea, if Pegula throws money at his fin team to buy out his contract. Then he most certainly could see Rochester this year. I think he'll just stay in Finland however.

AHL realignment boots Abbotsford from the North Division, so now it's Rochester, Toronto, Hamilton, Lake Erie and Utica.

Yeah, that's Cleveland. Thankfully, it's about as compact as a division as they can make, given the Western Conference limitation.

Zigomanis is a terrific face off guy and a good role player. I'm surprised he never got another long look in the NHL.

I'd like to see Jamie Tardif to replace Mancari and then Deveaux to replace Tarnasky. I'd be pretty happy with that offseason.
