Yeah, it's really scary. This team needs to keep their heads up. Torres is going to lay someone out cleanly if they don't.

I don't think the Canuck's played too badly game one. They are the better team, and will win this series.

it wasn't even 2 million, he got 1.75 from phoenix 2 years.

I was shocked Torres was not brought back after his performance in our cup run.

Must win game, down 0-2 heading to the shark tank would be a nightmare.

Options they have are
-Split the Sedins

-Put Raymond with Kesler and Higgins with Roy

-Hope Schneider is back soon(I thought Lou played good but the team failed to score)

You can't convince me otherwise. Torres wants to play for us again. That was his audition, outscoring the rest of the Canucks last game. He thought he was on our side, but just loves to hit anything and everything.

Seriously though...I think Niemi and the Sharks would be justified in calling game one a shut out.

More energy, and Vee's "red meat" diet for Kesler didn't work. Whomp, whomp.

Definitely a must win game. Hopefully this team shows up because they sure as hell didn't in game 1.

The Sedins were invisible and Alex Burrows - I literally didn't notice him for a second.

They were bad. At home, in the first game of the playoffs, heading into the third tied 1 - 1 and you generate NOTHING?

What game were you watching?

Burrows is getting dragged down by the twins.

Burrows must, MUST be taken off that line, if twins have no jump.

Kassian wasn't generating much either, but at least no one will take liberties.

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Raymond-Kesler-Hansen
Higgins-Roy-Burrows
What ever...

Divi it up like this, Roy is scoring line 2, Keslers line is the shut down line against the Thornton or Pavelski line.

We need Hank and Danny firing, but we'd be stupid to expect the Sharks to have not zeroed in on them after the last series we played in which they plastered them.

AV should put him with Kesler and put Kassian with the twins as he opens space for them.

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Raymond-Kesler-Burrows
Hansen-Roy-Higgins
Weise-Lappiere-Ebbett

He then needs to let the dogs loose and the Canucks are on edge because they are geting called for everything. But they can't worry about this. They need to push the pace, force the Sharks to take penalties.

This post is basically a tombstone for the Canucks...if Burrows gets taken off that line that means the twins are struggling, which means we're dead.

We're not winning a thing without the Sedins bringing their game to a higher level. It's their window that's closing, they need to play better and play harder, simple as that.

I actually like those lines and agree. Raymond, you don't need to score anymore, just forecheck and fall all over the ice.

I agree, roll 3 strong. AV is starting to get outcoached on a series to series basis now. The contstant line juggling is desperation on his part.

If they roll 3 strong, the 4th line will be weak -- However, all they need to do is eat a few minutes per game (let the stars rest), don't take a penalty and don't give up a goal and essentially they'll have done their job. At home, it should be easier to get a 4th vs 4th line-matchup as well.

Sedin Sedin Burrows
Higgins Kesler Roy
Hansen Lappy Raymond or Kassian
Plug, Plug , Kassian/Raymond

1st line - tried, tested and true.
2nd line - Why experiment with it in the regular season (find success) and not use it.
3rd line - Fast, energy line, could easily outplay another teams 3rd line h2h.

Its embarrassing. Henrik will often get a golden opportunity and elect to pass.

Maybe then we can actually start generating offense.

And if Kassian doesn't do the job, they can move Lapierre up there and double shift one of the other centre's with the 4th line. Hank, Kesler and Roy can all play 20.

This is what I would do as well. But knowing AV we will end up with something like this

Sedins - Hansen
Higgins - Kesler - Weise
Raymond - Roy - Burrows
Kassian - Lapierre - Ebbet.

Losing game one at home means desperation time tonight. I honestly think Kassian and the twins gives the team it's best balance 5 on 5.

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Raymond-Kesler-Hansen
Higgins-Roy-Burrows
(Not Ebbett?)-Lapierre-Weise

First game of Corrado I've seen, thought he looked really good.

If the Twins continue to suck, we're going nowhere.

What an awful performance by both of them. They single handedly killed our own PP's. It looked like Burrows consciously stopped giving them the puck on the PP.

Memo to Henrik: Shoot the puck. Don't wait for defensman to slide by, this is the NHL not peewee.
