What? I never said otherwise. Everyone on our board got a kick out of it, we thought it was hilarious.

I'd take John Buccigross + Barry Melrose over Doc Emrick + Pierre. That says something.

Commodore is a professional athlete and he's essentially slandering someone for no good reason.

Just ridiculous. Calling him a **** stain? Really? that's a joke-I lost a lot of respect for this guy. Ok, you don't like him, a lot don't, but that's ridiculous, no need to insult him.

Guess what? Who cares? Congratulations for playing a sport and having a pretty good life. No reason to disrespect anyone else trying to make a living.

Part of being a bad NHL player is being a NHL player. Commodore has almost 500 games. Lebda has over 450 games. Jeff Schantz almost played 700 games. Bates Battaglia played over 600 NHL games.

Some players, like a bad venereal disease, refuse to go away.

Not sure why people are so offended by Pierre. I always listen to him, I like him, he goes overboard sometimes, so what?

For every great comment Pierre makes, he tacks on 3 awkwardly timed or petty ones that detract from the broadcast. He's just creepy, and doesn't know when to interject or when to stay quiet. I can't stand him. Then again, I think Gary Thorne is miles ahead of Doc Emrick.

I miss Pierre on TSN. Lots of passion and the "weird factor" is unique. He also makes for a good drinking game.

I like McGuire as an analyst on trade days, draft days & intermissions. He knows hockey, at least.

During the game, no one wants to hear you ramble about where the player went to high school. Or hear you make weird & overly loud noises. It's just on another level of irritating. It's mind-numbing.

EDIT: That said, Commodore went way over the top.

Commie isn't impressed with hockey's own live in person Wikipedia, Pierre McGuire.

Kevin Weekes?

NBC broadcasts would be just as passionate and much more insightful if he were between the benches.

All I know is, Mike Commodore was a freaking stud for two months in 2006. He can say anything about Pierre McGuire he wants as far as I'm concerned.

This. Pierre can be on the creepy side, but he's smart and knows his stuff. Edzo is a buffoon.

I like Pierre too, he just loves hockey and is extremely knowledgeable.

He just delivers that passion in a bit of an extravagant way, so I can see how that would be viewed in a negative light. I don't mind it, he's pretty smart.

Commodore has a cool name, and some funky hair, but not a lot else.

I'm convinced those who hate on Pierre are just jealous that they're dumber than he is.

At least we know Commie is staying sober. If he were playing the Pierre McGuire drinking game he'd be having a good time and he'd be far too drunk to tweet with any degree of coherence.

Commodore is a joke. Always has been.

Expect him to get carried away, with the fact he has an audience and nothing to do, much more often.

Although Pierre is creepy.
