That was a great third period. I am glad that they found a way to close out this series.

Like father, like son. As with the Leafs, the Marlies blew a two-goal lead in the last ten minutes and watched their season end. Wow.

Mursak's goal was a beauty. Took the pass, split the D and a beauty backhand.

seems like every time i look at scoresheet for a GR game, glendening has a point.

I was there! I knew they'd win all night, despite Mrazek's backbreaking 1st period. Just had that feeling. I like Jurco, Tatar, Ferraro and Mursak a lot.

Incredible doesn't even describe that play. It looked choreographed because it was just a smooth play by Pare after the blocked shot (or was it a partial fan?) to Tatar. That was a thing of beauty.

Glendening continues to impress me every time I check in on the Griffins. Is he deserving of a contract from the Red Wings now? He could be an upgrade for the 4th line in 1-2 years.

3 sets of back to backs? Wtf?

I get that they want to get two weekend gates, so Fri-Sat is excusable. But Tue-Wed?

It was the same with this series, IIRC if the Marlies won tonight game 7 would have been tomorrow.

They bus in the AHL don't they? Probably to make the travel less painful in between sets of games.

That first Tatar goal is just filthy. he is too good for the AHL. If hes not on the Wings next year I'm gonna lose my mind.

It would be pretty neat if FSD covered the Griffins. I doubt it since they still do some of the postgame stuff for the Wings and who knows what the financial situation is, but it would be pretty awesome.

The Griffs are going to be such a good team next year. Sure, no Tatar or Mursak, but Jurco, Ferraro, and friends will all be a year older. They're also picking up Jarnkrok and Frk and massively, massively upgrading their defense. The talent level should be through the roof.

Fantastic news, I'm still pretty peeved that we don't have Tatar up, but this bodes well for the future of our franchise.
