McCabe, though McNabb's second half is worthy of this spot.

Add JGL.

I think it's a coin flip between McCabe and McNabb, I'll say McCabe barely. Add JGL again

I guess I am higher on McNabbs tool set then most around here.

6-4 physical blueliner who can put up points is pretty attractive.

McCabe here, but Ruhwedel needs to be in this conversation. Ignoring the remarkable jump to the NHL from NCAA he made overnight, you needn't look further than his blatant comprehension of the position. He plays bigger than his size, plays the position with intelligence, supports his partner, and seems to get the puck to the net with a quickly released low, effective shot.

I'm high on ruhwedel for sure.

Awards:
McCabe has all the tools and knows how to get the toolbox open. Easy choice here, especially given how his skating separates him from McNabb. It isn't hard to imagine him making a jump way up the rankings next spring with the way this last year went, graduations ahead of him be damned.

Gauthier-Leduc was thought of as a long-term project when he was drafted, and at this point, he's still a lot of potential without a lot of realization. Add him.

Toughest call so far for me. It boils down to if I think McNabb can improve his skating to be able to handle 2nd pair minutes and be physical and effective in the defensive zone. McCabe looks like he's in line to be a solid 2nd pair guy who can contribute in both zones but McNabb's skating is what is holding him back from being that, and more.

Since the recent history with this organization and improving players' skating isn't particularly good, I'll go with McCabe. Add JGL.

I am hesitant on ranking McCabe because he isn't signed...after he declares turning pro i think buffalo has 30 days to sign him .

I don't know if its good that McNabb is our 6th/7th best prospect now. Is it because he has regressed a lot or is it due to the fact our prospect pool has greatly improved. After his stint up here he looked like a lock as a future top 4 dman who can chip in some offense and provide some muscle on the back end. Disappointing that he wasnt good enough for a callup this year.
