I think the Moose win this one 3-1. 8 days is a long time to not play. Hopefully they surprise me, but I expect them to come out a little rusty. Miller might have to steal this one to win.

One thing the Amerk's have going for them is that the game is in Rochester. The fans will be behind them and I think it'll be just enough to push them over the edge. 3-2 Amerks.

He pulled something in practice...and other that, I don't know. I hope this is just a precaution because Vanek needs to play.

An unbelievable game. They really played probably their worst hockey of the year for 3/4 of the game. And then Cullen of all people broke it open with the PP goal and then 20 seconds later it's tied thanks to Paille. Roy with a nice goal to put it ahead. Just a crazy third period. I thought they were done when I didn't see Vanek out for warmups. But they proved me wrong yet again. I think Vanek will play Friday. I think they just wanted to hopefully sneak a win tonight and get him a couple extra days of rest. I wish they would just play a full 60 minute game. No one would be able to beat them.

Miller wasn't tested all that much. Manitoba looked like they just wanted to sit back the whole game. And it was working for most of the game, until the Amerks woke up. Jillson had a really bad game and got caught on that SH goal, and Janik had a terrible turnover on that first goal. Milley played probably his worst game I can remember, and Novotny was back to his old ways.

If they can win Friday they are in really good position. They'll really only need to win 1 out of 3 in Manitoba. Hopefully Vanek is back because they really do miss him.

A note from the game, Hutchins played over MacArthur who took warmups. Not sure why, but doesn't look like MacArthur will be playing.

How many times have the Amerks come back to win the game?

They should play "this bad" the rest of the way......read sabre27 comments and you'd think they lost....rusty from long layover? YES....two top scorers out of the game? yes......dont score a whole bunch even up anyway....were three for four on the PP and they won! In the end, that's all that counts......I know we would like all our favorite teams to play hard and well for nine innings, four quarters, three periods or two halves but in truth, few if any do! Bottom line is when its over, do we disect the time frames of a game where the game was won or lost?....a win is a win and a loss is a loss in retrospect....in a week no one remembers anyway...fans in Boston are still argueing about Buckner's bobble with regards to which inning it occurred.....

Looking at what they did last playoff series, you might think that Hamilton was just weak and allowed them to come back 4 times. But seeing them do the same thing against Manitoba makes you think that perhaps this team is pretty special.

I'm guessing you didn't watch how bad they played for most of the game. As great as these comebacks have been, they won't win the cup falling behind every game. They need a much better effort on Friday.
