MDV for sure but other than Camara and Bernier I dont think any of Ferrari or Brovsky would be picked. Spiecially not Brovsky, he's got heart and he's a warrior and all but in the end the all star game is there to market the MLS. Bernier has been good but not sure all-star worthy good either.

MDV will be there, maybe Ferrari, but that's it.

Hopefully it's not another EPL team. MLS has a close relationship with the EPL so it likely will be. It would be nice to see Bayern or RM for once.

Don't remember where, but I also heard it was against Juventus. Hello Buffon!

Game is in Kansas City. Just FYI in case you thought it was here

Don't we get more allocation money if we win tomorrow? We gotta improve the left back position and central midfield if we're hoping to go far in champions league.
The team that wins tomorrow definitely gets Allocation money. I would bet/hope its at least $300k (enough for a new DP) but no one knows.

You've misread the chart, its one team from each "pot" with 8 groups of 3 teams total. The only teams we are guaranteed NOT to face are the ones in "Pot B"

The draw for groups will be soon, probably next week or two.

For an example check out the pots and subsequent 8 groups from last year:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012%E2...ue#Group_Stage

No, The first round of CCL is this season. August-September, if we make it though, the later matches start March 2014.

So the group stages are this season, but the knockout stages would be next year?

First things first, gotta win tomorrow. Fair to say that tomorrow's game could determine our summer transfer window. I beleive that if we qualify, the team might try to add some pieces to go all in. Joey doesn't enjoy just patricipating
Better read that again Laurent. That's not our group. That only means that we are in the second pot for the draw, meaning that we'll end up playing a team from pot A and from pot C. Then there's this little gem here from Wikipedia.

[...]and each group is guaranteed to contain a team from either the United States or Mexico, meaning U.S. and Mexican teams cannot play each other in the Group Stage.
So if we qualify we'll have to play against one of Tijuana, America, SJ Earthquakes or LA Galaxy.

Assuming we win tonight, here is the schedule from last year:

So we will face the 6 group stage matches with our current lineup (hopefully plus some backup).

This will mean 2 game a week almost constantly for 3 months. Plus, given our 2-4 games in hand it means we get no by weeks later on. PLUS the LA game that was rescheduled just so they could lose is in October.

So yeah. Assuming we win, the last 3 months of the season will be an epic grind.

Garber always has his own pick, and he tends to normally pick someone from a Top-Calibre MLS team. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ferrari be that pick. IIRC Bernardez was it last year

I can see Juve coming here. They were supposed to play here last summer but had to cancel a few weeks before the match.

Anybody have a site that's going to stream the game? I've checked three separate sites but none are showing it

Nice starting XI, maybe the best we can dress? (except for Perkins-Bush)
