Lecavalier, Briere or Ribeiro?

If you had to choose one, which one would you want wearing red and yellow next year? I feel like the Flames are bound to get one of them.

Lecavalier - 33 years old, 32 PTS in 39 GMS last year, -5
Briere ------ 35 years old, 16 PTS in 34 GMS last year, -13
Ribeiro ----- 33 years old, 49 PTS in 48 GMS last year, -4

I agree. Lecavalier should be our first choice. Wouldn't mine Ribeiro for cheap. Do not want Briere.

I can't imagine why anyone of them would come to Calgary unless it was an insane overpayment.

Briere made it very clear he wants to stay close to Philly and his kids.

Vinny will have everyone after him, going to a lottery team can't be his greatest desire.

Lecavalier >>> Brier/Ribeiro

Actually.

Lecavalier > Bozak >> Brier/Ribeiro

Lecavalier, if any.

Want nothing to do with Ribeiro. Briere I'm "eh" on.

Bozak can GTFO.

I wouldn't list Ribeiro and Briere together. Ribeiro is still a very serviceable 2/3 center who is dynamite on the PP.

Bozak? Ew.

I'm not listing them based on the player they are. I'm basing them on how much I'd like them in Calgary Jersey.
Thus when I do the /; it means I want them about the same, and not much =o)

My center wishlist, if Feaster truly wants to go out and get one.
Vinny > Weiss > Bozak

One way or another, they're all stop gaps. I don't want anything to do with Ribeiro or Briere to be honest.

I don't want any of them, but if I had to choose one, it would be Vinny.

I don't want any guy that doesn't fit the long term direction of our team. Vinny is obviously the best of the bunch, but I don't want an expensive contract or a roster spot to get in the way of the development of any of our young guys. Imagine signing Riberio to a 4 year deal at 5 million plus? Hell no... We are better off trading for a younger player that would fit in our new core.

Briere hasn't played center and brings no size and not much defensively.

Ribeiro is weak defensively, brings no size and can have a questionable attitude. Pass.

Lecavalier produces still, is a natural leader, has a Cup ring, plays a good 2-way game.

Is this actually a question?

Gun to my head, I picked Lecavalier.

Would prefer Weiss, then Bozak before any of the above

Vinny is the only one we should even consider signing.

If I had to choose, Lecavalier. But of those three, I'd want none. But if Briere wasn't made of glass, I'd probably pick him of the three.

If I had all three, I'd trade them all for Seguin straight up.

Vinny laready has a cup, he might be more open than the other two to accept helping a rebuild franchise.

How about none of them. I say stay away from bought out players all together. If another team is willing to pay millions just to get rid of a guy that is a huge red flag. Besides, bought out players tend to be terrible on their new deals.

For example, Bertuzzi was pretty good but Friesen, Mcarty and Amonte were total disasters.

None. Do not want overpriced FA's who are 30+ and will want multiple year contracts.

We are going to suck, just let it be.
