That is not a Hard Cap as far as my opinion goes ..

I believe you're wrong in that discussion ..

I think you have the meaning of a Hard Cap and Soft Cap (luxury tax) confused ..

The NHL proposals do not allow for any team to exceed the Hard Cap figure no matter how much money the owners make .. In fact a portion of the profit is supposed to go to the weak teams as Revenue Sharing to build up other teams to make them more competitive when they play against the Leafs in fact ..

Hard Cap would tapus from being able to buy players hmmm

ok we save our recenue and eventualy buy the league out right!
