Yeah, this is a head-scratcher. What exactly is our record with Kassian in the lineup because I'm pretty sure it's not good.

But whatever the case, hoping the boys show up tonight and the powerplay gets it together. Because watching them fail time and time again on the powerplay is actually enraging.

No. Methot is useful, Kassian isn't.

And Latendresse is an embarrassment. I'm not advocating Kassian, but Latendresse needs to come out after that pathetic display. Even if Regin has to come back in replacement.

Its terrible... But our record was awesome with Brian Lee in the lineup and most people said it didnt matter...

I would take the both(Kassian/Lats) out and play Conacher and O'Brien...

He can still add something of value, unlike Kassian.

Saying the PP is terrible is an understatement at this point. It actually helps the other team.

Kassian in or out isn't a big deal, we just have to play better. We had Konokpa and Carkner in our lineup for the playoffs last year.

I see you ignored my post because I clearly said I'm not advocating Kassian replaces Latendresse. I'm advocating that anyone should replace Latendresse after his pathetic display last game. He made our team look like losers.

Pretty much this. If Kassian really does change the balance of our team to the point it prevents us from winning hockey games, then we won't go far in the playoffs anyway. Toronto regularly dresses McLaren, Orr, and Fraser and they find a way to make it work. Not that I want to mirror that or anything. But complaining about Kassian is just an excuse. We have more pressing issues to worry about, like our powerplay.

I trust our Jack Adams finalist coach over the opinion of fans on a hockey forum.

This reminds me of last year when some people were saying we lost to the rangers because Stone got replaced in game 6 by silver surfer. If we lose this series it won't be because of Kassian vs Lats but rather our horrible pp and not having Spezza/Karlsson not at 100 percent. If we had those 2 fully healthy we'd have won the division this year and been capable of making a deep run. At the very least we'd be up 2-0 vs montreal with those 2 healthy.

Because of what happened at the end of the game? There were a few players that made us look like losers more than Latendresse did during the game.

Didn't Weeks say Gionta was gone for the series? That was according to his "sources".

I wish Murray never acquired Kassian in the first place, then Maclean wouldn't even have the choice.

I'm not saying that, I just prefer skill to toughness, especially when it's a guy like Kassian that offers nothing but fighting.

No, but I would argue it prevents us from having an effective 4th line, especially against a speedy team like Montreal.

Yeah I don't blame Kassian himself. He is what he is. A 4th line goon. Seems like a good enough team guy.

But at the end of the day, whatever line he's on can't be iced that often because he's a pretty useless player.

Which puts more strain on the guys playing in the top 3 lines, because they have to play against a deep Montreal team which can afford to play 4 different lines. It's essentially just creating a disadvantage for the team that it didn't otherwise have.
