would this series be considered as a collapse by the Ducks? 2nd best team in the west, losing to a team that barely made the playoffs

Good luck next year, hope you are enjoying the games. Should be good hockey, especially once the Sens are out
Thanks, enjoy your run this year!

I'm loving watching the Leafs play this year (first time in a long time I can honestly say that). Very fun team and should be for years to come. Enjoy the run!

It would be considered another Bruce Boudreau postseason failure

Great regular season coach but not a guy who can get his team to next level and win in playoffs

Seeing as the Wings likely win. What's your opinion on the Hawks playing the Wings? I know they've dominated them this year. But I'd like to see your insight.

Anaheim has thrown in the towel, Getzlaf and Perry just flat out quit.

Oh wait, they are down 1 goal

Not sure I agree entirely. It depends on perspective - if you think the Ducks were a true heavyweight then this is a disappointment. If you think the Ducks weren't that good and overachieved this year, then there is no shame in losing in 7 to a team on the same talent level as yourself.

IMHO they are the later, this is still a rebuilding year for the ducks, to have made the playoffs 2nd in the west is a huge a bonus. Good experience for the youngsters and the team should continue to get get better. It'll sting at first because they were second seed, but if you stand back and take a long look it's been a good year for them.

True. Just want Detroit to win badly. Canucks move up a spot in the draft and I have Datsyuk in my pool

Well that has to be disappointing for the Ducks. Perry looks absolutely crushed.

Probably wishing he stayed a UFA and signed with TO.

LOL At the "Thank you Seguin" chant from the TO fans.

Ducks have got to wonder what to do now. It's not like they can add more star power.

Perry was just pathetic. Show some heart.

This makes me feel just a bit better about our playoffs.

Go Kings, will be amusing to watch the Sharks flop around on the ice against LA. I doubt they get as many calls.

my predictions for the later rounds

West

Hawks beat Wings
Sharks beat Kings

East

Caps beat Rangers
Leafs beat Bruins

then

Pens beat Senators
Caps beat Leafs

should make for an awesome Hawks/Wings and Pens/Caps conference finals to set up a...

Hawks/Pens final proving to Gillis that the league has not changed, skill teams can still win.

I will be laughing at myself later when I turn out to be very wrong

Just wait for more youth to mature. They have good young players. They don't have insane amounts of cap space anymore though. The backup now makes $2.9m and Perry/Getz just sucked up an extra $6.5m.
