But, but, but what about all his giveaways? Or, he doesn't play with heart?

I'm kidding. Just taking a dig at all his haters who have all but strangely disappeared.

Spezza is clearly an elite player that takes it to another level during the playoffs. Look at Jonathan Toews' lack of production. No one is booing him nor calling for him to be traded.

Spezza's prolonged absence really proved to all the haters how important he is to our team. I think he joins Alfie as only the 2nd player to have his name chanted. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also Neil in the playoffs versus the Islanders way back. I think we were losing and we started a "we want Neil"

Erik Condra is one point behind Pat Kane in playoff scoring. Some people's expectations of Spezza have never been realistic. And replying to them only serves to reinforce their belief by somehow legitimizing the argument. I, for one, am more than happy to have the stars that we have on our team.

Holy ****! I had no idea Condra was almost a PPG in the playoffs. Knew he'd been playing well, but wow.

Explains the delay in his return. 2-3 weeks sounds like a pretty minor deal.

The meniscus doesn't heal by itself: serious meniscus prolems can be crippling

I'm not panicking or anything but Spezza having back problems and now potential knee problems is not a good thing

He'll likely be fine for next season but this can't be the kind of news management wanted going forward

meniscus is a lot better than an acl

he should be fine

he is 30 now so yes injuries will probably be more frequent. This is just how it goes.

Not uncommon with a back problem to put more strain elsewhere and other issues pop up. May be a silver lining the series didn't go any further.

Someone absolutely called this weeks ago.

I hope those that shout down "insider info" because Bob McKenzie didn't tweet it take note here.

I wish I could remember the poster, but he said the setback was not related to the back injury at all and was a knee problem.

Kudos.

Kudos to whoever got this right. Too much wrong speculation and supposed insider info makes it easy to turn them down.

So Spezza didn't have a setback with his back right? That'd be at least one good news if true.

No.

He had a setback with his back a few weeks into rehab. Then as he was edging closer, he injured his knee.

Spezza also said he had a setback with his back three weeks into his rehab. #Sens
