Isles have owned the play. I don't see us pulling it out unless fleury steals it for us. We looked like ****.

You know what teams fail in the playoffs?

Teams with player's coaches.

I've never seen Bylsma yell.

Over the past few years the Pens have blown many 3rd period leads. There is no debating that.

And the reg season doesn't mean **** in the POs.

Am I being an HF homer or does benching Beau for Morrow not make a ton of sense given their relative performances?

nothing on fleury tonight, when you come out and manage 3 shots on the goal in 3rd, our shot average is way down, has been during the so called winning streak,
ya, but its just 5 minutes. Get through that and Fleury is a beast at the shootout.

He should start if we win in OT. Fleury is mentally broken.

Bad goal or not, I think that 9 goals in two games should be enough to get Vokoun a start in game 4.

For the love of god Bylsma. When will you see that Malkin Iginla does... NOT.. work.. Slide Kunits down to Malkin´s line and Iginla to Sid´s line. Try something. With all this depth we are basically a one- line team.

The point I'm making is some teams and coaches can channel the emotion into more intense play. Harder skating, harder hitting, more shots, crashing the net... I don't mean get emotional like Matt Martin emotional. I mean use it to your advantage. Instead what this team's leaders seem to exude is suppression of emotion. "We can't lose our cool... just have to stay calm... we're confident we can come back in any situation. Just stay calm..."

It doesn't work that way.

It goes back to what I said yesterday. From Bylsma and Crosby this sort of "we never get emotional or intense" zen-thing seems to flow to the rest of the team. Always calm, never up, never down... I don't like it. Sometimes showing some emotion / urgency in a game or after a game is a good thing. It's fine to keep an even keel and not get too high after a win or too low after a loss or bad goal but there's just no fire in this team.

I don't get it but it's about all I can come up with. I do understand playoff teams are good teams by definition and we're not going to win every game or play mistake-free hockey but the patterns that have shown up year after year, roster after roster... suggest this has nothing to do with a specific opponent. You're supposed to get fired up for the playoffs and it's like we get fired up, have a game where we rack up a bunch of goals, then we calm down. I don't think it's entirely helpful.
I call ********. Crosby always shows heart and intensity.

Although Fleury hasn't stolen the game for us, its hard to blame him when the entire game has been in the pens end. Its truly disheartening to see such a lack of focus and battle level from a supposedly veteran penguin team. Bylsma needs to be shown the door if the pens lose this series.
