Beg Tom Fitzgerald to help this terrible coaching staff because he does seem to have a way to get players to respond and in this case a very veteran team.

I don't understand the thinking with Depres at all. He can certainly be better than Eaton.

He is 21, he is ready. I think of him like John Carslon when he was 20 and coming off the WJC's. They threw him out there in the playoffs and now he is a top four guy. Depres should be getting this ice time right now.

I've had my fill of Bylsma. I'm really done with him. Show some ****ing emotion man. Your team is playing like ****.

People always hated on Boudreau for being so emotional and seemed to like Bylsma's stoicism. I think it is more he is in over his head and doesn't know what the **** is going on.

His goose was cooked before he knew what hit him.

If pens end up losing because of goal tending, i just cant put much blame on DB, if MAF played solid the first 4 games, pens would of swept the Isles, no coach in the NHL is gonna win in the playoffs without good goal tending.

Except the team looks completely overmatched and literally quit tonight.

Then remember this is a running bad joke for a few years now.

Have we been watching the same team since 2009?

DB is utter ****. You want to stop his system... place your to stop the wall pass = profit.

Is anybody tired of seeing 2-3 team member cherry picking while the entire opposing team is still in our zone? ... seriously... head explosion...

He has no clue how to get these super star team to play good playoff hockey... now look at Chicago with a ****** goalie. Nuff said.

He had his chance and didn't play well. He is NOT a top four guy right now, that's just insane.

I didnt think they quit, but when your goalie gives up bad goals it just deflates a team, hard to say they look overmatched, like i said with a good goalie this series is over right now.

You watch every other team play these playoffs, and every single one is playing playoff style hockey. Then you watch the Pens... yeah...

Hell they aren't even playing regular season style hockey. More like preseason style.

So who watched the post game conference.

I'm tired of blaming bad bounces and unfortunate swings, Dan.

Does sound like Vokoun will be in next game, although he tried to avoid the question and the reporter had to press him.

I was talking about this year, there isn't a coach alive who could win in the playoffs with the way MAF is playing

Sure there is. All it takes is a coach that knows how to adjust, and when to call timeouts and pull his goalie.

Oh and maybe getting his team mentally prepared, showing some emotion, and instilling accountability wouldn't hurt either.

Some of us have been barking up that tree for a few years now though.

I've been as much of a DB supporter as anybody, but even I'm having my doubts about him. Two years in a row this team has looked horrendous in the playoffs against teams they should have beaten. I figured last year was an anomaly and the team would learn from it's mistakes but that doesn't appear to be the case. If we lose this series, I simply can't defend his presence on this team.

If Bylsma is ever going to give a raging chalkboard breaking paper throwing trash can kicking screaming *****out, now would be the time to do it. Everyone always speaks of how calm and even keel he is. Well clearly they are not responding to that anymore.

I am not a fan of coaches who yell but jesus, you sometimes have to do it just so they know you are alive and mean business.

Come on, now. If Bennett wasn't scratched, how was Tanner Glass going to give the team 5 minutes of useless hockey?

Lots of things Bylsma does is pure idiocy. Namely, continuing to stick with Fleury, putting Iginla on LW with Geno--whom he's shown no real chemistry with, continually putting Glass and Adams into the lineup without fail, refusing to pull Fleury after it's blatantly clear his confidence and focus are shot, etc.

I can't dislike the guy as a person because of how cool and laid back a dude as Bylsma is, I really hate him as a coach. Absolutely, 100% hate him. And people really overrate his ability to coach. It reminds me of the arguments in favor of Fleury. Fleury backs arguably the best team in the league, that's why he gets 40 wins a year. When it comes down to the grindstone, and the pressure is on for him to make an occasional difficult save, he ****ing crumbles. Just like when the pressure is on for Bylsma to actually have to adjust on the fly, make lineup changes, utilize his timeouts, or actually do anything that's remotely considered out-coaching an opponent, he crumbles.

To make it worse, when we were up 3-2 it was like we threw a switch. I was yelling at the tv but they didn't listen

How one of the coaches or 'leaders' didn't stand up at that time and tear into them is beyond my understanding.

People want to downplay this but when the #2 seed is being thoroughly outplayed by the #16 seed, coaches and leaders need to step up and take responsibility. All I seem to be hearing from both is platitudes.
