Jean Beliveau had his first full season with Habs at age 22. Otherwise, spot on.

Turning point was when Bourque whiffed the shot with that open net in front of him on the nice cross ice pass from Markov. It's so hard to score on Anderson you can't blow those.

Overall though it was a reversal from game 2, Ottawa came out very strong, while the CH looked flat in comparison. They hung in for a while but you could tell they were on the ropes and not really generating quality attacks while the Sens had them pressed in their zone often.

The fighting was a sideshow, but it's not the end of the world. Habs come out strong Tuesday, win, and it's all forgotten.

Losing teeth is the Key to the series.

Game 1, Anderson loses tooth - SOLID
Game 2, Price looses teeth - SOLID
Game 3, Pageau loses tooth - Hat trick

Ryder was useless yesterday. Was desharnais playing by the way?

All three were the first star of each respective game lol

The only exception of course would be Eller :/

I do. Go ahead and piss off Moen and Prust. Go ahead and piss off Subban. Piss of Gionta. Piss Max off. Piss Markov off. Piss Pleks off. And Cube.

This series is not over.

0 shots in 3 games, that includes 1 game where we took 52 shots overall

the whole team is pissed. True. But now they actually have to play hockey. Not that fiasco they tried to pass of as hockey last night

I think he was crying in the corner, lying in the fetal position, when the rough stuff started. Seriously, what a useless player.

That can bode well for us if we focus on the right things...like jumping on Anderson rebound (getting in his head), dumping the god damn puck in properly, knowing when to pinch and when not to pinch as a D man etc etc

Not that gong show that was last night. That was a joke.

I saw a bunch of plays break up on his stick as usual, and him be a 3 feet behind play out of position cuz he too slow.

I was willing to give him benefit of doubt before, but now he has basically been the worst habs forward so far into series, he makes his linemates worse with how many plays he kills. Pacioretty needs to be liberated from his line asap, I'd like to see MT try Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Gallagher.

2 things:
1) We need to get back to playing our game, which is essentially boring hockey. If we get caught up in all the emotion and goon play it works against us - its not our style of play. Therrien has been so relaxed this season, I think everyone was impressed. But since the start of this series the old Therrien has been emerging, the one who is a hot head.
He needs to get his team back on track and its by playing the way we did during the season, NOT what we saw last night.

2) Halpern should play instead of Desharnais at this point. Just don't know if Therrien has the guts to do it.

Game 4 should be just as calm with Gryba coming back.

Agreed with both points. I'm not sure Therrien has it in him to pull #2 though.

WTF? I totally expected the Habs to go ******* at 4-1. They should have. It's a good sign. They finally had license to let off steam for the Eller hit. And MT let them do it. They needed that.

Yeah they lost some fights, but they fought, and they should have. It's not their game to be sure, but these are emotional NHL players, not bantams with their mommies watching.

You want a team of ballerinas? If they had not gone ******* I'd be worried.

I'd like to see him on the pp instead of Gionta who is totally useless out there. I know Ryder hasn't been playing great but he's a goal scorer and if he isn't out there to score then he is totally useless. Gionta doesn't belong there

Are you ****ing serious?

Ryder is exactly the kind of player you DON'T bench. No matter how bad the game he plays is, no matter how he sucks in a particular night, no matter how invisible he is, he can always come back in the middle of a 3rd OT period and score the winning goal on a play that looked like was going nowhere.

You'd think Habs fans would have understood it by now, especially after playing him 2/3 years in the playoffs in his Boston years.

If anyone should be benched it should be David "Ghost" Desharnais. There's enough flaming the guy on these boards that I'll refrain from adding anything, I just cant wait to see him play on the third line and stay there.

Bourque with the sucker punch. Gallagher with a vicious unprovoked slash and jumping a guy in the last 5minutes. Sens played physical and made us frustrated but they weren't cheap-shotting and embellishing. I could easily see half our team getting suspensions/fines for their play tonight. An utter disgrace.

Then at the end, they can't take the loss like men, so they have to embarrass our fans and organization even more by whining and acting like the victims infront of the cameras. Feel bad for all the kids that could hear and lipread the Habs players mouthing off. What a joke tonight's game was. When is our coaching staff going to crack down on this type of crap that doesn't belong in hockey? We're only motivating the Sens to get mad and when they are mad, they turn up the heat and outplay us. Habs need to man up and show some class.
Very well said. The truth and to the point.

I did not see MT criticizing his players for that. Did you?
