Bad, bad effort all across the board. Embarrassing. Division titles mean **** when you can't back it up when it counts.
I'm going to say what we all know: this team lost something since the Boston game last January and it's never been found since. The Canucks have played exactly one complete 60 minute dominating effort since. We were hanging our hats on that Chicago game going: "Hey! These guys still have it! We might actually have a chance this year after all!" but of course the "switch" promptly gets flipped right back off and the team can't even make basic hockey plays in the games following.
New leadership and a new direction is clearly needed in the worst way. Instead of fighting back and playing harder, the team stomps and screams like petulant little kids when the going gets tough. It's easy for the refs to **** the Canucks because the Canucks always bend over and spread their cheeks in games like this.
Ah, I just don't have the energy to get into it tonight. Just like the team I follow like a masochist.
