Conacher is going to be a special player for us!! He has great character, work ethic and tremendous vision. Like a poster said earlier he is only a rookie so give him time. Like Murray said before we traded for him. This is a young team we are going to grow with. And growing they are. Can you imagine how good we might be when we add salary. We have like 20 million in cap space, 25 with Gonchar coming off the books according to a source I read a while ago

How was he supposed to play? 20 min a game and 1 PPG, or maybe 1 GPG? I know that OTT has have a good run with several prospects/newcomers of late but come on, it is impossible to be that spoiled...

He has been great and the way he played last game could have put him in the 3 stars of the game imo. Clocking low minutes he still managed to disturb the MTL players to an extent that they went out of their way to be suspended by taking head shots at him (not good for his head of course but still...) and lost their "balance" (Gallagher), it was great stuff. That there were no suspensions was a complete disgrace but that's of course not his fault.
Good lord so much reasoning from a fan base that wants young players to grow. Or tie up a game and send it to o.t.... haha enjoy the win sens fans they dont come so often in playoffs. Oh yeah tonight the sens had 5 rooks in the liney. No wait lets complain about the third string goalie we traded away who cant track a puck and we can drive a bus through his 5 hole. P.S he is 3 years older then Conacher.

Really hoping that Conacher turns into a Briere type player.

p.s. I really like Briere, he's clutch in the playoffs.

Pretty sure that was completely spontaneous too. He was so surprised/happy to see that go in he nearly jumped out of his skates. He had a really bad turnover that led to a Habs goal earlier so it was nice for him to get some redemption.

while watching him down in Tampa, he always reminded me of a younger version of his teammate St. Louis.

Pageau is the one who reminds me of Briere. Not that he'll be the same quality of player, but he plays a really similar style.

Don't know where to post this but

Cory Conacher ✔ @conhockey19
After taking a couple mulligans at the @NHLPA golf tournament I'm proud to give my 10,000 donation to JDRF to support diabetes research

WoW, Great great kid, didnt the nhl donate only like 100 000 to the calgarly flood efforts. to them 100 000 is smaller then 10 000 is to conacher, especially since he is on his elc right now and alot of it is being taxed off,

Honestly seems like a great kid, and we're lucky to have him aboard. I think he's really going to cement himself on the roster next year, hes had the right attitude his entire life, and found success at every level of hockey. Can seriously not figure out why he's so heavily doubted on here, he's a gem of a player.

Absolutely! He's a type 1 diabetic himself, he (and I) know what it's like growing up with the disease. I'm sure he wants to make sure future generations don't have to go through the same thing.

I hope he is a Senator for a long time. I'll be getting a new jersey soon, probably with #89!

Good for Cory he contributed a lot to charitable causes this summer, love when our players do this sort of thing. Solid kid I can't help but hope he does well for us this year.

I'm happy for him. I wonder what will be the bigger mistake: trading for him or waiving him

Probably waived so Murray could afford to gift the ol' Big Rig a couple more years.
