The Finnish Olympic team is auctioning their Jopo bikes they used in Sochi. Tuukka's Jopo is going cheap, only 1200€, while some geezer from Anaheim has his ride bidded for 12000€.

I just needed to resurrect this thread to show my appreciation to Tuukka Rask. I absolutely, under no circumstances, wanted him to go to Sochi because of the usual reasons. You know, he has never played a full 82, fear of injury, etc., but I think the Olympics may have resurrected the guy. He was going through a mid-season slump and gave up 4 vs Austria in Finland’s first game but since then the guy has been absolutely lights out. Best goalie in the league right now. We thought March would be a tough month because of the schedule, and it was, but Rask came up huge several times to keep the Bruins in games early on and gave them a chance to win. Keep up the good work Tuukks! Hope you didn’t peak too early.

The Vezina is all his at this point. And hopefully the Jennings. And the Conn Smythe.

I feel so greedy, but I hope he takes every award he can. He deserves them.

it's going to be so nice in two months knowing that we'll never have to hear those knocks on him again.

He is okay. Decent game today.

..............

....................

Anyway, I'd imagine he plays half of the remaining regular season games, yes or no?

My guess:

April 2 @ Detroit - Rask
April 3 @ Toronto - Johnson
April 5 vs. Philadelphia - Rask
April 8 @ Minnesota - Johnson
April 10 @ Winnipeg - Johnson
April 12 vs. Buffalo - Rask
April 13 @ New Jersey - Johnson

Rask will get one of Detroit or Toronto in the back-to-back. I'd bet on Detroit as they're obviously playing better right now, and Rask will want to redeem him self from last time.

I'd bet on him going in against Philly again after being so strong today.

No chance he sees the net in those two games against the mediocre West teams.

Some might play Johnson in the last two against weak competition, even with the back-to-back, but I'd like to see Rask once more to keep him somewhat fresh. He's not going to go nearly two weeks without playing before the playoffs. No better way to do that then with a layup home game vs. the Sabres.

Tuukka should change his last name to Ra$k because he's earning every cent of his contract right now. Bruins made the right decision locking him up.

Rask is by far one of the best goalies in the world right now. He is sick in so many ways. We will need him to be as sharp as ever in the playoffs. He must be the one to out perform a hot goalie. Which is very possible we could face at some point in the playoffs. He has to be the better one. I am sure he will do it too.

IMO, he plays at least one of them as he can't go a week without playing goal.

I'm still not sold on the kid... sources tell me that Justin Pogge is tearing up the LEL (Lichtenstein elite league).

Amazing how many detractors he still has

I know the PHWA doesn't vote on the Vezina, but a lot of them have him listed 2nd or 3rd on their all star ballots. Or in their Vezina predictions they have him losing to Varly

Unbelievable that people get paid to do this yet somehow discount what he does because of that "amazing" Boston D. Sure Boston is a great defensive team but not any goalie could be so great

It was slightly disturbing that people (only here) were blaming that screened goal on him. Sometimes you don't know what you got til it's gone. Luckily, we have him signed long term!

Hard to believe there was a time after Timmy left that we were kinda nervous about this guy as our starter.
Such a stud. We've been so damn spoiled with goaltenders lately.

Dude was a rock tonight. He's allowed two goals in two games. One was horseshoe lucky, the other was an other World play by Datsyuk.

Rask has been excellent. It was less than a year ago where many here had no problem not wanting to give Rask the contract he got, and kept talking about Svedberg and Subban as the ones to fill his shoes. It's the same as those that wanted to run Julien out of town.

Keep it up Rask!

Tuukka is clearly this teams backbone now. Funny, I saw a comment on the RW board saying how Rask is "really shaky". This isn't Anders Lindback we are talking about here. Rask is probably one of the most solid goaltenders around, and the thought of having anyone else in net is incredibly scary and bothersome.
