I'm surprised that DB has seemingly bumped Sutter to the 4th line for Jussi. It's the move I would make but I'm surprised he is.

Why people worry so much abourt scoring and forward-line combinations? Didn't we score like 13 goals so far... ? Isn't it the defense that wins cups ?

Call me crazy, but I actually want to see Kennedy in the lineup (not at BB's expense but it is what it is). That 4th line has been so damn slow so at least the spazz can help with speed and zone time. I might have a heart attack if Glass is scratched, but we shall see.

Yeah because forwards don't play defense.

I would never troll you.

I think you see them switch on and off. Plus, IF Kennedy is in for Glass, Adams-Sutter-Kennedy is a shutdown line (in Dan's mind).

Amidst all the DB handwringing and at great risk of opening a can of worms, I actually believe (no proof) that 14-87-9 being sacrosanct is more Sid than it is DB. It's been brought up before.

Puck possession, or lack there of is the reason for our defensive woes. Also forwards play defense too.

NYI coach Jack Capuano: "We have to play almost perfect hockey" to beat the Penguins.

Well, Jack, consider Bylsma's line combos and lack of adjustments like a test where you already get a 50% if you spell your name right.

What the heck is up with this, by the way?

Two in a row after what I would generously call two spotty games.

Bruce is talking like he's back tonight

Orpik: "Psychologically, it's good to be back around the group."

Brooks Orpik says "I had it in my head that I was going to start the series, but that probably wasn't very realistic."

If Iginla is absent, how can you read anything into those lines posted?

I'm not going to have access to a tv during this game, does anyone know the best places to stream this game from?

It would be nice to see the penguins play like the best team in the east again instead of playing stupid and taking it up the a from the isles.

You can probably read that the Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis line is staying together, meaning Iginla is either with Malkin and Neal or 3rd line if Neal plays. Doesn't sound positive that Neal is coming back in tonight though.

Robbing Peter so Paul can go postal.

It actually not that simple anymore. There's absolutely no time for uprooting your entire first line just to appease fans fantasies.

Dupuis is less effective on the LW, and Iginla has next to zero time with Sid to know where to be or where they'll be.

Kunitz, Crosby, Dupuis
Jokinen, Malkin, Neal
Morrow, Sutter, Iginla
Cooke, Jeffrey, Adams

One spot needs filled and we're trying to uproot the entire top 6 to fill it.

Malkins line gets better, but Crosby's gets dysfunctional and slower.

One thing no one mentions. The Islanders got embarrassed in game one. There was talk, not even here at HF, that they did not deserve to be in the playoffs. That it is a shame a 'real' team like Winnipeg missed and that they got in.

They responded with intensity. But we have all seen that kind of intensity is impossible to keep up in a long series, that goes a couple weeks and a day between each game. The Islanders are due to have a let down.

And the Pens will not play with their heads up their collective ***** the entire series either.

4-1 Pens tonight, book it. The 1 being the important number. The Pens will make a point of playing smarter with the puck and a more defensive traditional road brand of hockey.
