"Pure" is a bit hard to satisfy completely, if you're implying they don't really do much else...but the obvious big name shooters outside of the top couple picks are Shinkaruk, Lazar, Domi. 2nd round plus? Bailey, Harper, Carrier maybe?

Shinkaruk, Monahan, Drouin, Mackinnon are the first that come to mind when we talk pure offense.

If Your looking for guys in later rounds I like:

Oliver Bjorkstrand
Roberts Lipsbergs
Adam Tambellini
Cole Ully

These guys will all be top six or bust type guys who could turn into snipers.

Pretty well what's mentioned by the above posters from the Q... Mantha , Zykov and Dea are all natural goals scorers.

Its funny that he's looking for names in the later rounds and people are dropping the Drouins, MacKinnons, etc.

Evan Allen of the USNTDP would be someone who fits the bill.

What about Nic Petan & Sergei Tolchinsky, can someone tell me a little bit about these 2?I know they're both small, but they seem to like to shoot the puck.

I consider Mantha to be more of a PF.

Lol, no he is not. He can score some decent goals but they are mostly from his hard work and work around the net but he is no sniper. Not even close. If he was though, he would be challenging for a #1 spot in this years draft.

He is a primary playmaker and very solid one at that.

Can someone give some kind of scouting report on him? I just cannot figure out why he's not higher ranked with his size and scoring ability.

He's a year older then the draft. And if he was to be draft eligible last year he wouldn't have been picked up. Ultimetly has a extra year of development and is closer to his ceiling and in a deep draft it's not worth the risk

I don't agree with the explanation myself but that's the answer I've been getting since I've been asking this question

Petan is definitely more of a playmaker. Doesn't really "snipe" a whole lot. Many of his goals are scored around the net. He's a gritty kid that has great hands in tight and doesn't play like someone who's sub-5'9.

I mock him waaaaaay higher then most, and catch flack for it. But I stand by it. I think NHL GM's are going to love his blend of size and skill. Kid flat out puts the puck in the net, hence why he has been brought up in this thread. I consider him one of the best offensive talents in this draft.

If he goes where many believe he will (20's), I hope my Habs snag him, he's exactly the type of player Montreal lacks. I believe he's going to go earlier however.

Montreal ended up with galchenyuk the guy I wanted last year and with pacioretty in 07, I hope this guys come to the leafs !

No way Mantha wouldn't have been drafted, 51 points in 63 games isn't awful, and the fact that he is a big guy wouldn't have hurt.

That and he'll need someone to set him up. Kind of like a James Neal.

Artturi Lehkonen. Good skater, smallish, decent playmaker but more of a goalscorer. I don't think he'll go before the 2nd round, might go even later.

I suspect that Anaheim will take him if he's there in the 1st. He fits a need and he has some connections with our organization.
