Which player position will take home the Playoff MVP?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conn_Smythe_Trophy

Goalies 2 years in a row, 3 years centers in a row before that, some D's and quite thin list of wingers.

Much focus have been on the goalies so my overall guess is that a goalie will take it this year as well.

And it will be Jonathan Quick.

B's: Bergeron
Kings: Quick
Pens: Crosby
Rags: Lundqvist
Sharks: Couture or Niemi.
Wings: Dats or Zetterberg.

Those are my picks for now.

I kinda hope Krug would continue his magic and, if possible, become a contender. A lot of fun watching that kid play.

My guess is a center. There haven't been a lot of stand out defenseman this year unlike in years past, and the only goalies I can really see winning it are Quick or Lundqvist. There is at least one good candidate at center for almost every team, however.

interesting fact : since 1983, Claude Lemieux is the only winger who won it.

This is why i never expect Washington to win the cup, because their best player and by far is a winger.

I'll guess a center for this year.

Jonathan Quick, again.

I really like LA's chances of beating anyone in the East. If Chicago or LA are in the Finals, they should win against Pittsburgh or Boston.

In any case, a goalie will win the Conn Smythe...most goalies have ridiculous #'s right now.

Goaltender for me. Most important player on the team in the playoffs if you ask me.

I kind of hate the trend now where goalies win it so often. IMO it should be as hard to win the Conn Smythe as a goalie as it is to win the Hart.

Unless your goalie is completely stealing games I'd rather see a skater take it.

I don't disagree fully, but keep in mind last years playoffs where goalies were setting all-time records.

I'd put Krejci ahead of him, 9 points is 9 points and he's been unreal, but it's not that crazy of a gap. Bergy has been amazing for the past 3 games. Even when he wasn't producing he was on the defensive side of the game. His leadership is huge, too. If he keeps it up it'll be close between them for our playoff MVP, Cup or not. Rask has also played great.

I'll go with goalie because the team with the best goaltender has won for the past two years.

Depends who wins the Cup.

Pens (C): Crosby / Geno
B's (C): Krecji now; Bergeron if he continues to be super clutch
Sens (G): If the Sens win the Cup, it will be because of Anderson
Rags (G): No brainer here

Hawks (C, Wing or G): This is tougher, Crawford / Toews / Kane are possible
LA (G): Quick, maybe Doughty as a dark horse
DET (C): Zetterberg, but Howard has been fairly stellar
SJ (G): Niemi

Just my thoughts here

Thank you. There have been guys coming up big game in and game out, but you always have to look toward Bergeron and Chara because they are the engines the drive the bus.

Sens: Anderson

Hawks: ? That's a tough call. Towes? Crawford? Kane? Keith/Seabrook?

I would add Chara and Krejci over Bergeron for the Bruins, not sure for the Sens or NYR but I doubt either team makes it this round and Black hawks have many options but Sharp has looked sharp so far

If the Sharks win, I think they'd give it to Couture, but I think Marleau deserves it.

Goaltender or center for me, if a team like LA wins it will be the goalie, if a team like Boston wins it will be the center.
