Kings have a decent chance to repeat, IMO. This game is almost half done and they're up on 2-0. Quick let in two stinker's in Games 1 and 2 of round one, which he usually doesn't do, and that's the only two losses the Kings have so far.

Their defensive system, defense and goaltender make it hard to score. Plus they have some very good skill in their lineup with Kopitar, Brown, Doughty, Williams, Richards, Carter, etc.

Kings are just too deep, it's not fair

It'd be the equivalent of complaining that ECHL and LNAH have some rigged games.

At any rate, I'm sure owners and GMs do influence the types of calls being made, and that there are pressures on NHL refs to treat some players differently than others based on reputation. I refuse to believe that the league's executives consciously cater to its largest market, or that refs are ordered to favour one team over another.
Thank you. That is exactly how I feel too.

Anyways, I feel bad for the Kings and the Hawks. That is what the SCF should be. Unfortunately, one of them will have their season ended.

Yup. Crazy amount of talent on that team.

Agreed with those saying the Kings are the team to beat. Hawks vs Kings is going to be an insane WCF. I agree that it's going to be a closer series than the SCF will be. The Penguins are the best in the East right now, and I don't think they'll hold up well to the Kings or Hawks.

edit: Similar to the Sens/Devils in 2003. Everybody in hockey knew this was the best two teams going at it.

Before the season I had Rangers/Penguins and Hawks/Kings as the final four, with the Hawks beating the Rangers for the cup. Little worried about the Rangers right now but over all I think I did pretty good.

And my God are the Kings built for the post season. AGAIN they slept through the regular season, to the point people were saying what is wrong with Quick. Talk about finding a second gear. No team has repeated since the Wings in 1997 and 1998, while I think the Kings will meet their match in Chicago I am becoming less and less sure of that....

And Senators fans, don't stay down, it is one game, just keep hitting Crosby and Malkin, neither likes it, one caves and the other retaliates taking dumb penalties. Make them play a style they don't want to play. The series is far from over, still rooting for ya.....

It's 2-2 in LA now. Nice effort by the Sharks in the second.

I wouldn't say I hate either team, but Tortorella makes it easy to dislike New York. I'm a huge fan of Girardi and Lundqvist though.

I found myself cheering for the Bruins today.

I like the Bruins a lot but I was definitely going for the Rangers tonight

There's nothing to dislike about the Rangers outside of Tortorella

Not much to dislike about the Bruins either though!

So I missed the first penalty call but saw the delay of game call. Were they both warranted? The delay of game looked justified.

In all fairness, huge assist by San Jose. They gave them the game.

Kings are something else. Lundqvist going into god mode might be the only thing capable of stopping them from repeating (if rangers get out of east).

LA clearly not unstoppable if they were trailing 3-2 until the final minute.

They won their sixth straight playoff game

Sure San Jose made it a bit easier on them (the calls were legit) but they still had to score on the PP

If it had been the Senators in that position you can be certain that we would have failed to score with our inept PP

I highly doubt that LA will beat Chicago. If there's a team that's unstoppable right now it's the Hawks.
