I have to say find the constant "look how terrible the iPhone is" ads from Samsung and Microsoft way more obnoxious than anything Apple has done, even including the old "I'm a Mac" ads. And as the iPhone and Mac become more ubiquitous, the old guard of pretentious Mac loyalists becomes a much smaller proportion of the users out there, which is a breath of fresh air.

People who are baffled why you'd get an iPhone when it costs more for lower specs are missing the point. It's like asking why you would ever eat a banana when an orange would give you 5x the vitamin C for less money...it's like, dude, I don't care about vitamin content. I just like the taste of a banana.

It's a phone. The hardware specs are more or less irrelevant to me as long as it's capable of smartphone things––calling, texting, mapping, taking pictures, browsing the web. Either an iPhone or a Galaxy has enough specs to handle those flawlessly. I prefer the way those things work on iOS; I find Android's interface clunky, poorly designed, and inconsistent. Maybe you don't and that's fine; interfaces are inherently a personal preference question. I'm just saying that to ignore all those subjective factors and do a straight hardware comparison, and then act baffled when people choose differently is pretty silly.

Did I mention you specifically, or even this forum? I said, and I quote, "people with iWhatever tend to be the kind of people who stuff it in others' faces". And it's true.

Well it's the off topic thread. Sometimes we talk about things in here.

one thing iPhones have going for them...you can always find a sucker to give you good money for a used one.

Yeah they hold their value. When we switched carriers, I sold our two-year-old 3G's for $150-200 a pop.

I've had people like that on FB before that complain because they see me gone a lot in pictures around the country/sometimes world. I simply tell them to get a better paying job then. I applied and sacrified early in order to afford me what I have today.

And Puhlis, you obviously don't have the S4 there yet, because those Samsung nuthuggers are just as bad.

I would love to have a real keyboard on my phone.

Going to send out my 60's Gillette razor to get it fixed, thinking about coughing up the extra $30 to have it polished and re-plated.

Yeah, I don't get it. My mother is 100% evil envious (if you know what i mean) about my life.

Let's see... I saw an industry which was going to exponentially explode. Busted my ass for years working 80+ hours a week, built my resume to where it is easy for me to get any job I wanted...

Whereas, she is a cashier at a gas station in Iowa... Only job she can get after making horrendous life choice after horrendous life choice...

Someone talked about talc powder.. like a thread or few ago. Some of us kind of made fun of it. Like me.

Well.. not anymore. I had a soccer match today. It was something like 85 degrees fahrenheit plus a short shower of rain in the beginning. I was sweating like a lunatic the whole time.

After the game, oh my groins. I had to walk like I had pooped in my pants. So fragile feeling.

Ok.. came home, I'm alone this week.. wife and kids are on holidays. Went to shower. Then tried to search every closet, locker and basket. From everywhere. Until I found it! Pink Bouquet Talcum Powder. My savior!

Uuh... I feel like a man again.

I'm so happy I get to share this with you

In spite of what you think of iPhone, or Apple, watch this clip, and look at what it replaced as the paradigm copied by everybody else:

Every phone out there looks like an iPhone now. That was innovation; Everything Android or Samsung has done since is called tweaking, or adding geek features.

SoWiFi75, you or anybody been watching Confederations Cup?

Great tournament so far.

tweaking or geek features = removable expandable memory and higher resolution screens etc. o i c.

edit: oh, hey everyone with an iPhone--when the new smaller bezel iPads come out will i get laughed at when I take out my fatPad at Starbucks? should i disguise it somehow?
