The only games he played this year was tremendous experience for him. And he'll come and be better. But even if he struggles....we had vets in here who struggled big time. Tinordi will learn more here. He has to stay.
Well, it depends on the D we're going to present on day 1. At this point, it's probably better he sticks up here and Bouillon drops to #7. But I dare hope we're looking to add some good Ds in the offseason and, with that happening, he'd just be wasting time here. He's better off in Hamilton, despite what that team looks like. He'll get to lead and play high quality minutes there, that's good enough for his development IMO.

Is there a point with Beaulieu around? He could be a PP specialist today if the Habs wanted.

Whichever team wins the Stanley Cup is awarded the 30th and last pick, while the runner-up is given the 29th pick. The teams eliminated in the conference finals are awarded the 28th and 27th picks, with the 28th pick going to the team with the better regular season record. Remaining division winners are then sorted by points, then the rest of the field are ranked next, filling in the 26th through 15th picks. In both cases, better records result in later picks.

So if Pit, Chi or Ana make the final 4 we will be drafting 26th?
So we should be cheering for the Sens vs. Pit...

AK, he's a fair bit younger and could be had for a 1 year deal. Ryder's going to get multiple years and pretty decent money from somebody.

Sens fan coming in peace

Its pretty obvious you lack bigger defensemen but other than that...

Youre team is pretty good at applying pressure

Gorges is a unidimesional D. He is only good at blocking shots. He is not physical, cannot clear the crease, he loves shoveling guys into our goalies, doesn't hit, slow, has bad passing, has zero hockey sense, plays die on his stick, is a black hole on offense.

Subban made him look better than he is and he got a long conctract for that.

That's another thing. Maybe more speed on the wings? Stalberg would be nice. So would Raffi Torres, a legit hard hitting 3rd liner.

The point of trading and signing UFAs is to get new players.

Easily #46. Deadly shot, goes in dirty areas, plays physical. He was burried under Martin's stupid system. I'm sure Therrien could make him a better player. I recall he liked him a lot as a panelist on L'Antichambre.

well another season done, and sad as it is, I would think that many of us figured that ,

this is 4 gm's now, that have tried to build a team with small , talented players, and got roughed up.

so my thought is MB, are you going to go the same way!

the quickest way to build the toughness, is overpay on july 1

As was in Star Wars, there needs balance in the force, to protect and serve , Mr Price and Bgally and others that carry the load..

MB will show us fans now, what he is made of.

Mr Prust is a start, but much needs to be done here.

Agree...picking 23-26, are you really picking the BPA or should you really look at Orginzational need if the talent drop off is not severe?

We have ZERO BIG NASTY WINGERS OR CENTERS in our entire orginization!

Sad, hard loss. Last game probably the toughest loss for me in forty five years of Habs rooting. Really.
Going forward? Of course it would be good to get bigger on D-- but getting bigger on D is meaningless without getting better on D. Tinordi was the goat on the soccer goal; there's no reason to think that his just being big will ever make him skilled. What we need is what every team needs -- a core of elite scoring forwards. That's how Pittsburgh wins, that's how Chicago wins -- that's how we will win. Toughness is great; tenacity is better.

Ban fighting, too. And get better officiating.

And when the Sens will face a better offensive team, we will know now how really a factor Anderson is. Of course he is very good. But I still believe that this Habs team couldn't finish properly.
Exactly, what I was going to post. Sure it is great to have a physical D core, imposing forwards that can dominate the cycle game and an elite level goalie, but I think what we really lack are forwards with killer instincts. We could have put Ottawa away in game 1, 4 and even today but we couldn't finish.

Obviously, it's not as simple as going into Free Agency and signing a natural scorer but we have to do something to increase our goal scoring potential. Sure Chucky is a great start and the "Old MAX" but we need players that can score, change the game with one shot and capitalize on their chances.

As odd as it may sound to many Emelin is the cornerstone of the D. His injury basically ended the season for the Habs.(His stupid, stupid injury which you don't risk so close before the playoffs)

Not all people hated him, some people just felt he was not necessary. He had a good shot, some speed, and could throw some decent hits, but he took weeks off at a time. He wasn't a bad player or anything, and I am sure he would be capable of contributing to the success of a good team, but for us I dont see any reason to pursue him.

I think MT did a good job this year with this team , i don't want to blame him after what he did with a team who was coming out of a season of misery.

But i am not confident, not concerning the depth but the mans who are in charge with the kids we have in Hamilton. I am not sure that Sylvain Lefebvre and Patrice Brisebois are the right guys for this job. That is my big questionning for next years.

I'm proud of this team anyway, i had great times to watch it. Hope Eller, Prust and all of the injured players goes well and heal their wounds next months.
