Going to the Draft?

Being from SoCal I went to the draft in LA a couple years back and actually had a pretty decent time. It was free, it was hockey related, couldnt complain (Although I had a kings rep calling constantly trying to get me to buy tix all year long but thats another story)

Anyways, with the Avs holding the number 1 pick, and possibly about to draft a player that may change the entire course of our history (Hate to be that dramatic but see Pitt, Chi, etc) I am curious if anyone here is contemplating making a trip to NJ to see it happen. Itd be a helluva trip for me, but I am curious if anybody else is considering making a similar trip to see what could be the cornerstone of our franchise throw an Avs jersey on for the first time.

Hell no. The draft is boring enough on television.

You can probably hound for some autographs if you find some cheap prospect cards from eBay or Sportlots to bring along with you though you'd have to find a group to do it with if you want results.

I would love to go to the draft as I live in NY so I'm not very far away, but I don't think tickets are for sale to the public. I guess they are only giving them to Devil season ticket holders and the rest through a lottery. Maybe a STH will be able to sell? I would love to rock my Roy Jersey while holding my "Not Winning for Mackinnon" sign.

I live in NJ so I'll most likely be going to the draft this year. Not really sure how to get tickets, but I'm not too concerned. Devils fans can't fill an arena for a game, let alone for a boring entry draft.

Now if they would make the booze free they might have a more enthusiastic crowd. I'd imagine the last pick would get as much cheering as the first.

If they have free booze, I'll cheer every pick equally.

I had considered going but being there live probably will be more uncomfortable then my recliner. So no. But for free booze I would.

Ex pat is onto something. Season ticket holders get free booze. Or aspirin depending on who were playing.

When/if the draft is ever in Denver, I'd probably plan on going...the only downside is I love having my laptop open with me and like 10 hockey/draft related tabs, and Twitter, open and constantly refreshing, in case there's an interesting rumors.
