Ott-Ana

I highly unlikely trade but I just want to see what their respective teams would accept it or not.

Ott- Emerson Etem
Ana- Mika Zibanejab

thoughts?

Etem doesn't impress me all that much to give up on Zibanejad.

I don't think this really makes sense for either team.

Doesn't make any sense for either team, and it's best to keep homegrown players like Etem.

Ducks needs a 2C and Ottawa needs a young scorer. Etem will look good in the line with Spezza

Sure .. We'll take Emerson Etem off your hands for the rights to some dude named "Mika Zibanejab".

Seriously though ....

I can see what you are getting at. You want a 2nd line centre and you realize that you need to give up a good prospect to do it - but Ottawa needs Zibby more than they need another blue chip wing prospect.

If you want Zibby... it'll be in a package for Bobby Ryan not another prospect.

I think all Sens fans are pretty much in agreement that Ottawa would be willing to move Zibanejad or Silfverberg, but we'd be acquiring a proven scoring winger for that player (most likely in a package), not moving them for another prospect.

Ottawa has more than enough prospects, our farm team is overflowing with them. We need to turn those prospects into a proven commodity to shore up our scoring issues on the wing. Etem might be that guy one day, but it doesn't make sense to make this trade now.

Also: What Marty Straka said. ^^^

Not to mention OP mentioned that it filled Ottawas need for a winger, despite the fact that MZ could very well be a winger for the rest of his career.

Take out Zibby and put in Conacher and we may be able to start a conversation.

This is terrible for Anaheim. Absolutely terrible. Etem is going to be a league superstar in the next few years. No way he is going for that cheap.

Zibanajad is better, younger, and has a higher upside. Plus he plays a more valuable position. I like Etem a lot, but Ziba>>>>etem

Cory Conacher.

The 2013 version of Matt Puempel.

Conacher doesn't get us Etem, but at the same time STOP THROWING CONACHER IN EVERY DEAL PEOPLE.

If everyone outside of Ottawa tosses Zibby in to every deal I get to toss Conacher back.

Fair enough.

And it wasn't directed to you personally, but if I see one more Conacher + Greening + 1st for Bobby Ryan etc ill flip.

I can relate. I started to see red when 25 outside proposals in a row involving Ottawa included Cowen.

This Ducks fan would rather have Zibanejad...and I'm big on Etem too.

I think Etem is going to be a special player and just wanted to see how they ranked against eachother. Mika Zibanejab has a ton of potential and I was glad we took him over Courts.

Etem is going to be a superstar IMO. PLus the fact he's from Cali and as an Anaheim fan I definitely say no.

Done from an Anaheim perspective. Not sure why Ottawa would be interested though.

i wouldn't trade Etem for Zibanejad that's just me. Etem's improvement from day 1 to the last game was kind of hard to fathom. the guy is not only a break away waiting to happen but he's going to grow into being a power forward with his work ethic i don't doubt that he'll be better next year

I don't see our organization moving Etem any time soon.
