Well half our team is either sick, injured or suspended so this will be a blowout for Belarus.. Just happy we managed to beat Slovenia and Denmark so we stay up

Which players are out?

Facts: This is the first time these 2 countries play against each other in WC's. Norway has won only 1 of 5 games played (international friendly and other games).

It`s not as bad as first expected only Henrik Solberg and Lars Wolden is out. Kristian Forsberg will play D and Niklas Roest will get his shot with Bastiansen and Mathis Olimb.

Norway and Belarus has met in the Olympic Qualifiers in 97 and 2001. And they also met in the WC in 99, 01 and 09 in the A group and in 04 in Oslo in the B group.

Belarus won all of these games. Norway has never beaten Belarus in a official game. One time has to be the first, just like Latvia last year. Norway has traditionally strugled against Belarus and Latvia, but we broke one barrier with the win against Latvia (3-0) last year.

Oh yeah the site i found this from didn't show all of the games.

Anyways, Belarus seems like a difficult opponent for Norway.

I don't think Norway will dress tonight, instead catch the next flight home. Coach called IIHF a joke

He got some seconds in the first period at least, zoooooming across the ice to the bench after serving the major penalty for Martinsen.

Either Norway play to physical with reckless tackles
or other nations men are simply made a bone, flesh and tendons (such weak substances).
Norwegians are apparently made of granite!

Shoulder on shoulder and he glides in to the hit. If you watch the replay you will se that he does not take a single step before the hit. 2 minutes boarding imo.

But the referees does not have the luxury of replays so I understand them.

Anyway, great period by Norway. Finaly we are seeing some of the play we saw in the warm-up games before the WC.
