Riot Ads

Anyone else heard the ads telling fans not to riot after the game tonight?

There's a few different ones.
Not burning a parked car is the only one I can remember.

If/when you hear them post them here. They are humourous.

Riots didn't even cross my mind at all, until reading this.

God, that'd be terrible. So many fairweather, bandwagoners right now I could actually see it happening.

imo i dont think there would be a riot if we lost but i do see things could get out of control if we WON a series

at least vancouver did it in the finals, if we do it in the first round it'll cement how pathetic we are

Great example of a self-fulfilling prophecy here.. the media in this town is a class of their own.

I'd be more concerned if it were a home game...

What does the media have to do with it?

Anyway, I highly doubt anyone is going to riot in this city - certainly not after a first round loss.

I think the concern stems from there being a few thousand potentially drunken fans loose in downtown.

I think the majority of the people in the GTA that are Leaf fans didnt even think about rioting. But now that they bring it up, who knows.

And they did lose, and there was no riot.

The sign was probably a jab at Vancouver.

Acting like Vancouver fans would be a bigger disappointment than losing the series.

Stay classy Toronto

It's funny how people think that because we're not Vancouver, we have a less likely chance to riot. Our fanbase is even bigger than the Canuck fanbase, probably has even more fairweather fans, and can get drunk and angry just as easy.

That said, a first round exit won't set a riot off. If we were in the finals though, it would totally be a different story. But people who believe Toronto isn't capable of it, ha!

I hate the riot crap with sports, the village idiots in Boston rioted in 2004 when the Sox WON, win or lose the idiots just love to find an excuse to pull dumb stunts.

How stupid would Leafs fan have to be to riot after loosing in the FIRST round? Cup finals and I MIGHT be able to imagine it happening. but not for the first round.

I doubt leafs fans riot, only time we would riot is in finals. Still anyone that even thinks of rioting because of sport is a complete cretin.
