Dallas has some money to spend, and we should probably wait till next summer to spend heavily, but I could see Bozak, Horton or Streit coming to Dallas.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Iginla signed with Dallas, especially if he wins a cup with Pitt this year.

Streit's rejected Snow's 3 yrs/$15m offer, countering with a 3 yr/$16.5m demand. He's played 2nd pairing mins for a few seasons now and even 3rd pairing mins this season.

I don't see Snow giving him 3 yrs/$16.5m, but wouldn't be surprised if some gm overpaid him. Edmonton? Philly?

I see COL, TB as destinations. Teams with cap space, potentially looking to win and needing help on D, dont think hell get anymore than 5.5M

Didn't Jagr say something about wanting to play for a canadian team before retiring?

If he did, i dont think any Canadian will offer him what he wants, VAN, TOR, OTT, MTL all have thier top 6 spots filled or are going for youth. Jagr may go to EDM, but they want a physical player like Clarkson over Jagr.

The Jets are solid on the left side, need RW's. If they could add Ryder or Horton for $4.5M per, that'd be large.

Our top 6 is anything but filled, sure there is alot of youth but unproven youth.

Michalek (injury pronce) and Alfie (if he is back) are the only proven top 6 wingers for that team, I wouldnt mind Jagr for the right price on 1 year deal, would be great for our young guys to learn from a legend, we have the cap space.

Michalek-Spezza-Jagr
Silfverberg-Turris- Alfie
Conacher- Pageau-Zibenejad
Greening- Smith- Neil
Condra

Agreed. If they managed to land one of these top UFAs it would also help shake the stigma that they have, which is that no big name UFA will want to play there. Once they land a big fish or two others may be willing to take the plunge in the future.

Is 1.5 million over 3 years really that big of a deal?

Islanders should give Streit 4 years 20 million. He is the team captain and is playing the best hockey in
The playoffs

For a team with an internal budget and having to give Hamonic, Bailey and Hickey new deals, yeah, paying a 35 yr Streit $5.5m per, is a big deal.

Especially, since he's been playing 3rd pairing mins in some games.

MacDonald and Hamonic play the tough, shutdown roles. They are the two who deserve fat raises.

All I know is that the Oilers will probably be throwing crazy money at anybody that even resembles a tough power forward.

I'd take him on MTL for 1 year to see what he can do playing with Plekanec.

Also, there's no reason why MTL would want Bozak. Already have Pleks, DD and Eller down the middle and if we get rid of one of them it would be to move Galchenyuk to center.

yeah and he also said he would go to pitt for the league minimum because he "owed mario his career" or some crap like that. and of course he signs with their biggest rival when they showed him the money.

I really hope Vancouver offers a 1-year deal to Jagr.

If we dump Booth, Ballard, and Luongo, we can throw a nice chunk of change at him.

The Blues defense is set with

J-Bow Pietrangelo
Jackman Shattenkirk
Russell Polak
Cole

They will not be going after a free agent defenseman.
