Matt Duchene NHL 14 Cover Vote!

Duchene is in the Final 16...listen up people, we've GOT to do what we can to help get him through to the next round. He's going up against Taylor Hall in this round, it's a head-to-head matchup.

Do NOT let Hall win, if he gets through and wins, and I have to buy NHL 14 with his face on it, I'm going to be an unhappy man.

Here's a link if you want to know more about it

http://covervote.nhl.com/#/ballot

To vote, all you have to do is Tweet #NHL14Duchene, and apparently you can do it as many times as you want in one Tweet (up to 140 characters) and voting is unlimited.

Awesome! I was hoping someone would make this thread for us.

He's up against Hall in the round of 16, actually a pretty tough matchup here. I just voted probably 10 time for him.

Oilers fans are pretty cocky that they think Hall can win the whole thing over the likes of Malkin and Tavares. Lets show them an upset and knock Hall out right now.

It looks like tweeting is the easiest way to vote as well, it gets a little annoying typing in those letters every time on the site. Just voted 16 times with two tweets.

Ive been voting through the NHL Cover vote site.

Although I thought I read that the Tweeted votes counted as double, so Ill probably tweet it a couple times as well.

Canada barely has electricity so this should be an easy win.

Well then. Thursday is going to be a busy day for me on Twitter.

I just voted 10 times in 1 tweet though. That's still a lot faster then throught the website.

I wonder if retweeting someone else's tweet counts as votes hehe.

How have the cover boys done in recent years?

I know of the "Madden curse". Is there something similar for this game?

I could not care less tbh. Yeah it would be great for Matt but if he wants on that cover he should "earn it" (aka Art Ross or big playoff run) .

And I guess the chances against Hall and his Edmonton fanbase is not that good anyways?

And why does Twitter count more??

Do Retweets count as well? I'd be willing to make a new twitter account and tweet all day long. I don't really want to annoy my normal followers more than I already do.

This is a good question, but unfortunately I'm not sure if RT's count or not.

lol, yeah EA certainly had some...let's just say "interesting" choices for Team Representation.

Let's be glad they picked Duchene and Landeskog for us.

Kessel's always had a look about him that I just can't describe right. Like he's always got chewing tobacco in his mouth and he'd driving a big rig if it weren't for hockey. I know he's pretty young, but I keep thinking he's about 10 years older than he really is

Maybe he should be on the cover of that 18 Wheeler game instead haha

Can somebody find the GIF of Kessel being interviewed after he got drafted to the NHL. He's sat at a table with Duthie(i think) and he looks at the camera and gives the most awkward look of all time. It's the best gif ever.

edit:

found it

Kessel is a very, socially awkward dude. Keeps his hat down low in public, his conversations are just weird and uncomfortable, very shy. Could be a nice guy, probably is, but socially retarded.

I disagree with that. Kessel is probably media shy, in the sense he's bad at first impressions and fluff conversations.

I'm sure he's still would be fine to hang out with once you hung out for a bit.
