And I thought I'd have to wait until next year to hear Tom Grace call a game. Boy am I lucky.

This is going to be great. We have home ice advantage, their star goaltender is out, Richards will be on his way, and they've played one more game in the same span that the Phantoms have had. Bad news is that Chiodo is a hot goaltender and the Pens gave us trouble during the regular season. Any idea whose scratched for the Pens?

I listened to part of the game tonight... wow, I thought our announcers in Kitchener were homers, but they have nothing on the Norfolk guys. It's the first time (not counting Scooter Rizzuto) that I've ever heard a radio announcer say "we have to get a goal" or "we scored". Is that normal?

It's just the color guy, he's some old crazy guy. The play by play guy is actually pretty good.

But Tom Grace trumps everyone. The guy is a disgrace to radio people everywhere. He isn't just a homer, he flat out lies about what happens. Total *******.

Anybody know anything about Stefan Ruzicka coming to Philly for the playoffs possibly?

I think if he was going he would've been there by now. He's not a can't miss prospect like Carter and Richards, so it's not in the Phantoms best interest to take away a roster spot to fit him in. I would think he'll be there for a full season next year though.

You've got me second guessing everything this guy is saying.

Phantoms lead 1-0, almost the end of the 1st period.

Jeff Carter is the goal scorer with the assists from Fridge and Ryan Ready. Carter has 5 shots already...

2-0 with Richards scoring a powerplay goal... Helpers go to Pitkanen and Sim

Good analogy. I wonder if he butchers the name Desjardins just like Saunders does?

I'm sorry, but Flyers fans can hardly b**ch about homer announcers as long as Steve Coates is doing color.

I was actually told today by another Owen Sound Attack fan that Rosie returned to Slovakia due to an illness in the family, he claims it comes from a trusted source, but won't reveal who it is. Not sure what it's worth, but just what I've heard. With or without an illness in the family I think his chances of joining the Phantoms were small to being with. Might as well wait until next year if he won't be making a big impact.

Nice to see Richards score in his debut tonight, and Carter continues to roll on.

What'd Richards do so well to earn 2nd star? Also what did the lines look like.

Edit: Whoops, no helper. He only had a goal, I guess I was thinking about Carter there. He did play a decent game coming straight out of the OHL, though, so maybe that's why.

He was out there killing penalties and Stevens was double shifting him towards the end as well.

let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. That's still apples and oranges. Dustin Brown has seen more than Jeff Carter has.

I believe Richards was the second star because he scored a gamewinning power play goal in his first ever professional hockey game.
