that is true, but once you get used to normal you will find it to be less uh "fake" than default.

For the first schedule period only, gives permission to and

to play against my CPU. I have my last final of the semester on Tuesday, and I won't be on tomorrow. I've already set it to allow you to play my CPU.

PS- Do me and favor and win, because I need the top pick.

EDIT: ...and please don't hurt anyone. Richard Bachman is my next best option for winger if someone gets hurt.

That has always been confusing to me. EA uses "normal" for online VS, HUT, and, now, GM Connected (its the standard for new leagues). I'm not sure why they didn't just slap the name "default" on those settings and use "arcade" or something for default.

In truth, I don't love either set. Both have their flaws. I wouldnt' call normal broke--in default, Gionta regularly destroys Tyler Myers and Zdeno Chara, and, just the other day in Bluth Fantasy, Victor Hedman played an 18:00 shift.

tcx7 has replaced Lockitude as GM of , as he hasn't yet sent a request.

Lockitude, if you see this and drop me a P.M., I'll put you back on the waiting list.

At this point, everyone should also take a minute to set their teams to CPU playable.

Review the league rules to know when (and under what circumstances) it is acceptable to play a team's CPU. If you have questions or concerns, PM me.

Oh boy its going to be a LONG season for the Habs...these settings are terrible, slow down the game so much (not used to that at all, rather it be fast paced) cant hit anymore (big part of my game) everytime i pass the puck my player seems to have 0 puck retrieving skills with these settings Drouin here the Habs come

good game to the Leafs though, someones played with these settings before?

The two hardest things about changing from default to normal, in my opinion, are

1) to get used to the hitting (it is possible, but much more difficult and basically requires guys who have strong body-checking attributes) and

2) to realize that you absolutely need to change your lines on the fly. Fatigue is jacked way up, which not only affects a guys skating speed, but also his passing accuracy, puck control, shooting, etc.

The passing and shooting stuff comes quicker. You can't overcharge the passes and have them be received like you can on default, which means you can't simply hold the RT until you find an open player.

(And, yes, Chuck will have a bit of an advantage over many of the Bluth guys for a while, since he's been in at least 5 leagues on normal. )

Hahah yes, Good Game Habs!

Normal is honestly more "realistic" and its enjoyable once you adjust.

You can score some nice goals, but a lot of them are going to be gritty and ugly by just shooting the puck from anywhere (ie Kessels goal off of Gorges).

Gone are the days where you can just grab a fast skater and hustle down the wing and shoot short side! Cycle, Cycle, Cycle, hit the open man and take as many shots as you can!

I have no problem with these settings. The hitting in this game is so unrealistic and anything that makes it more life like is fine by me

I like these settings more than default, its mostly the hitting that pisses me off also its nice that elite players like Crosby stick out above everyone else

Been playing a lot of HUT over the past little while, and would like to formally apply as a reserve GM. Suffice to say, I have no preference, and will snap up any team that should become available.

Gamer tag is: MajesticMoos3.

If you're looking for active veterans for the wait list I was co-commissioner of a league and was a member of a league that lasted for 3 and a half seasons.

If we only last 3 1/2 seasons, then I'm screwed.
