I don't think there's a time frame. The visiting team takes less time to change though because they aren't looking for matchups like the home team does, as the home team always gets last change.

5-2 Pens.
Tonight will be a good test to see what kind of killer instinct the Pens have. IMO, letting the Isles off the ropes and going to Game 7 will make me question the Pens' ability to put teams away.

I don't want a game 7... I REALLY don't want a game 7 vs the isles. I understand that adversity often breeds a Stanley Cup winners mentality, but I cant take another game 7 vs the isles.......

That's hardly even the point right now truth be told. Even if the Pens win a game seven tomorrow, it'll shake my faith in this team.

If the Pens are what they want us to think they are, they have to win tonight. Good teams put other teams out to pasture when the opportunity arises. Chicago and LA did it, and we have to do it as well if we feel we deserve to be in their category.

So what if they do end up winning in game 7 instead of 6. It doesn't make the Penguins a bad team. The Islanders are a exceptionally good team as well and will put up a major fight to the end.

This is what I meant about killer instinct. For me to have faith in the Pens' ability to go far, tonight's game is the type of game they have to win. Putting teams away when you have a chance, rather than letting them linger longer than necessary and potentially putting yourself in a position to be eliminated.

Pens need to win tonight to prove to me they're capable of playing with that killer instinct to put teams away when they have the chance.

Our fanbase acted like we lost the series after Game 2 when it was tied 1-1.

But I will say, that despite the Islanders being a good team, we really should be able to win tonight considering the differences in our lineups. I'm not going to lose faith in their ability to contend if it does go to game seven though.

The Islanders have played well, but they are not an exceptionally good team. They have some very good players, they've played a great team game, and they seem to have a bright future ahead of them, but a true cup contender should be able to end their season tonight, no matter how much of a fight they put up.

Kind of makes yas different from us CBJ fans. Hell if we make the playoffs it would be as though we won the Stanley Cup. That's how bad we suck lol.

What it takes to win in a situation like this is that you end up with more of what they call "goals". That's usually a good indicator of one group of guys doing something better than another group of guys.

Well I think that's where expectations come into play. The city of Pittsburgh would celebrate if the Pirates merely finished over .500, but the Penguins are expected to be a cup contender every year, and anything less is a disappointment.

But I think the Blue Jackets have a very promising future ahead. The division will be fun next year.
