Trade to announce...

Beach + Nordstrom + Olesz + Brookbank

2013 7th round pick (MIN)

Cap dump deal. Gave up decent prospects for some very valuable cap space

Edit: had to add a lot of scrub prospects to balance out the contract issue

I'm approving both of these deals.

In my opinion, each is a modest overpayment (by CBJ and TOR), but in the first case, CBJ is getting two of the three best players, and the deal doesn't begin to look bad for him until Seasons 3-4. I'm fine with that. Teams giving up a prime-aged star should pay a premium. I think the deal fits both the short- and medium-term needs of CBJ and really accelerates DAL's rebuild.

The second deal seems odd, but I know that both Chuck and Jonyro know what they are giving up and what they are getting. Chuck is giving up a bit in OV for the extra speed. Anaheim gets the best player and a very adequate 2/3C replacement.

This is fine. Basically CHI is giving up Beach and Nordstrom to get rid of Olesz and Brookbank. Fuss has had the Hawks before, so if he believes this deal is necessary ahead of the re-sign period, I'm sure he's right, and if GMs want to use one of their three trades to get rid of a bad contract (or two), I have no issue with it.

Looking for a decent mobile bottom pairing guy and some depth for my 3rd line. Good trade partners would be a rebuilding team, I can offer a couple players like Gillies (81 by season 3), Goloubef (80+ season 3), Calvert/Nikitin (develop to 79ish with good offensive stats) which would be helpful to a rebuild.

Though anybody could be had, so PM me!

Jaroslav Halak (83) is available. Looking for a draft pick or, preferably, a goalie prospect.

He's only ok in playable games--he'll steal one sometimes--but he should be a decent simulation goalie. I'd keep him, but the Blues are facing a cap apocalypse at the end of the year, so I don't have room for a $3.5 million backup. (He's signed for 2 years).

I filled in the values for you.

If we are going to talk about 86+ then please dont forget;

Kadri - 88 Speed
Connolly - 88 Speed
Gardiner - 87 Speed
Mottau - 87 Speed
Phaneuf - 86 Speed

Luckily this isn't default settings where I can "hustle" all day.

The Chicago Blackhawks have completed their 2nd, and most likely final trade of the season, and possibly for seasons to come.

Montador + CHI 1st

York

At the cost of a first rounder, the Hawks get to clear their last bit of improperly allocated cap space as well as picking up a 4.0 star goalie prospect in York.

The Hawks only 2 needs going into the season are/were cap space and lack of a solid goalie prospect. I've acquired both of those needs with my two trades and with an already stacked lineup and full prospect pool, i most likely wont be making any further trades for the remainder of this league.

Jackets accept. I like to play with Nikitin and Erixon, but they are both 74 overall. Its better for me to be swapping them out with a healthy lineup rather than risk having to play one/both in my top 4 due to injuries.

York is a good prospect, but Bobs not going anywhere and I can find a backup goalie on the market if need be. The 1st will hopefully help me use my 3 to trade up and select a solid prospect.

Looking to trade Travis Zajac and/or Henrik Tallinder and Anton Volchenkov. Looking for a significant return in close to NHL ready prospects or good young players to go with a 1st rounder.

Smid
Hemsky
Hartikainen

Vanek
Scott
Scrub who's name I forget at the moment

Another revisited trade, this time a lot different with the exception of smid and Hemsky, I'm also excited about adding Scott to combat the not so impactful hitting on normal

are shopping Erik Cole (85 OVR). He's a fast skater who can play either wing.

I'm looking to get a center in return for Cole, so either NHL ready, or mid to low 70's with good potential. If the center is good enough, I would be willing to add a prospect or pick to Cole to get it done.

PM me and me can negotiate.
