West is deeper than the East (much deeper), but I don't know if that really means anything...

West has much better team D than the East (much better), but I don't know if that means anything...

The only team in the East that could beat whoever comes out of the West are the Pens, but considering how easy their path appears to be, I wouldn't be shocked if they do.

That said, West?

West is much deeper, but the east arguably have the best team in the pens

Only 2 teams I see can win in the east are the Pens and Rangers, and in the Rangers case solely because of King Henrik.

From the West any team could take it.

Leafs will win the cup, just like my name says. Right after they march through the bruins

08 - West
09 - East
10 - West
11 - East
12 - West
13 - ? ? ?

Still probably be the West. I can think of three teams in the West that are on a level that no one in the East has looked capable of matching. Maybe the Pens or Bruins if they pull it together but not the way they've played so far.

It's going to be an east coast team because of the Sharks/Wings playoff curse.

All the East teams are weak imo, even PIT has shown they can get lit up by an 8th seed...

West. Pens is the only East team I think has a shot and their goaltending is shoddy.

Goaltending is solid for the time being, needs to continue playing strong, not just for 4-5 games.

By the way, if Boston pulls this out, add them to the mix...only team in the East that can knock out the Pens.

East will destroy and physically abuse the West, easily. Maybe Kings stand a chance.

West AINEC

Pittsburgh was incredibly unimpressive for a #1 seed, Boston just doesn't seem as strong as they usually are, the Rangers rely way too much on Lundqvist and cashing in on a very limited amount of scoring chances. I think the Sens are being very overlooked in the East, but they still wouldn't compete with the best of the West IMO.

No team is sticking out to me in the East as being a Cup winner, just a hunch. I'm fully expecting a Chicago win or an LA repeat.

All these teams making comebacks and being patient shows why they were champs before.

I think it is a matter of the match up really. I think the two top teams in both conferences (Boston-Pittsburgh-L.A-Chicago) can each beat each.

Chicago > Boston
Boston > L.A
L.A > Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh > Chicago

East... big teams with grit. The Pens and Bruins are hard to play.
