Do we have a Black Aces Squad?

With the Providence season coming to an abrupt and disappointing halt, what's happened to that roster? Are some being kept around to practice with Soderberg, Redden, Pandolfo and Dagauvin to be called up in an emergency? Or are those four, in fact, our Black Aces?

From the last tweet I read they are putting one together for this series.

They'll have one. Svedberg has already been called up as the black ace goalie.

I figure Bourque and Spooner will definitely be on the squad but beyond that not sure who else-people who follow the baby Bs may have more possibles.

I'd say Caron would end up being an ace for sure.

Only one Black Ace will join the Bruins this year. Unusual.

Mark Divver tweet:

According to Butch Cassidy, only player from @AHLBruins who will be joining Boston for playoffs is Niklas Svedberg

Might just be a lack of physical space in the locker room, or a desire to keep the training and equipment staffs from having to handle way more players than normal. How often does a team already have 5 guys not playing for the big squad when their AHL teams season ends?

That is something I didn't think of. They already have a "black aces" squad.

This is a good point.

In 2011 the depth was Hnidy and Seguin. Made sense to have more guys called up to be available.

This year most of the guys they would want on D are already here Nd there are certainly plenty of forwards (if injuries are such that the team has to play Pandolfo then they might as well start making plans for tee times.
