Any thoughts?
I think Carolina will be ok they have good forward amd defensive depth and goaltending is adequate. They will not be bottom 5.

I think the list will be

30- pitts
29-PHO
28-Chi
27-nashville
26-Florida

IMO, McPhee couldn't have screwed his club over at more opportune time, the 04, and 05 drafts have remarkable high end talent.

What worries me is how strong Glen Hanlon seems to have come on as coach. They're all listening to him, even Jagr, before he was dealt.

I fully expect a competitive team next season, if there is one.

For my money, Barry Trotz = coach of the year.

Yeah, Hanlon rocks. We should have kept him down in portland until the '05 draft

Washington is trying hard to throw the season away (obvious at this point with the Bondra trade), but they won't catch Pittsburgh, baby! Come Selection Day, no one will have more ping pong balls in that Draft Lotto Machine than the Pens. And if we're really unlucky and have a 2004/5 work stoppage... we'll have the most in next year's draft too. Mmmm. Ovechkin and Crosby. Sweeeeet.
