SCF schedule:

Game 1 Wed. 6/12 @CHI
Game 2 Sat. 6/15 @CHI
Game 3 Mon. 6/17 @BOS
Game 4 Wed. 6/19 @BOS
*Game 5 Sat. 6/22 @CHI
*Game 6 Mon. 6/24 @BOS
*Game 7 Wed. 6/26 @CHI

I think Boston takes this series. May take them 6 to do it, but I don't see Chicago being a huge threat given how they played vs. the Kings. A healthy Boston team should be able to beat Chicago.

A lot of teams could do worse than Terry Murray and a lot of teams do.

I'm surprised he hasn't been able to find an NHL gig, at least as an assistant or something. I mean he basically developed the entire defensive game of a Stanley Cup winner from scratch in just a few years. He obviously has some flaws but the same can be said for every available coach with experience.

It's official. Shero isn't very good at his job.

Bylsma isn't the problem there... but full confidence in Fleury? Holy hell.

I just read a small synopsis of the Penguins' press conference. So, they're not going to change a thing when it's quite clear they need to? This is... this is just grand.

Sort of like the Canucks' situation. By some metrics, they are extremely successful. I mean, they kill it in the regular season, and, to a certain extent, I think that's a valid point.[1] After all, imagine you're the GM of a team that has finished first in the regular season, and made it to the conference finals. Do you make major changes to your franchise because you lost four games, after being the best through 48 and then two best-of-seven series? If you do, and they don't work out, then suddenly you're the GM who blew up the good team. When you get these clubs that are so successful in the regular season, it kind of makes them risk-averse, since they don't want to give up what they've got. Plus, when looking at their performance over the past few seasons, I can totally understand how they'd want to go with the guys that have made them successful so far. The only thing that I'd say the Penguins MUST do from any perspective is find a way to get a quality, established goalie. And Bernier isn't going to do it. This team is risk-averse, and they're not going to put an unproven guy, however talented he may be, behind a team that is such a powerhouse on paper.

Don't get me wrong, I think they've overperformed and need a more substantial restructuring of their team. I'm just saying that I can see how, from their perspective, it might seem that not much change is needed. After all, our team got exactly one game further than them, and we're here pretty much happy with the club, the pipeline, and the situation going forward.

1. It's unique (and unfortunate) that North American sports subordinate league and tournament play; people say that winning the Stanley Cup is the most difficult feat in team sports, but I disagree. I think winning the [English] Premier League championship is much more difficult because you have to be successful over 38 games. One off day to a relegation-level squad can screw you; look at Spurs, who missed qualifying for the Champions' League by ONE POINT over 38 games. That could be a point from any of several games which should have been won or drawn, but mistakes in the first half of the season come back to haunt you.

and Homer gives up a pick #4 for the rights to M Streit. seriously someone needs to back up the paddy wagon to PHI's office and carry him and Snider out of there in straight jackets. Streit isn't going to cure the defensive woes that team faces. even the Isles fans were saying he is best as a 4-6 Dman and PP specialist only at this point.

Sadly at some point Hextall will be a GM with another team. I think it should be philly.
The flyers have some solid pieces, they are just impatient and make stupid decisions. THis will definitely pave the way for Bernier to the flyers for Read + pick (guarantees bryz buyout) . If not Bernier maybe Smith follows Bryz again.

Boston's scoring forwards always seem to find room. Obviously they're good, but I think Chicago's defensive zone coverage needs to get a lot better for this series to be close.

2-0 Bruins.

CBC showing some Bruins fans in attendance. Were there even Kings fans that attended games at United?

Shaw is such a ******. And isn't it funny to see how physical Krug is compared to Muzzin? And he's like 5'8" and doesn't get pushed around like Muzzin does.

The Hawks PP is not very good, but Boston's PK is very good.

Why does every team stop hitting the Hawks, It makes no sense.

Tie game, all Boston has to do is bang and the Hawks will wilt.
