FWIW- For those who selected option 1 and selected to use your credit towards the playoffs..you may want to do the math and confirm with your ticket rep..I did the math out and when I inquired I got a totally different response..after going back and forth via email, my math was correct. They initially told me I was gonna have to pay partial for game 6 if needed instead of having a full credit for that game and my first partial payment will be home game #1 of the Cup Final was correct.

My daughter is flying home for game #6 (June 11th) if there is a game.

I am trying to get her a seat near us (section 22 / row 2) . Seats 1-6 are owned by a ticket agency I believe since there are different people each game. I can't figure out who owns them.

Any ideas ?

I can seats one row above where I want to be for 230.
Others in the section are 280.

Already bought airfare.
Question....buy now...or wait Saturday/Sunday to see if row 10 becomes available or prices drop?

What is your advice?

Read back in the thread where plenty of people give their opinion on how the market may or may not react.

He either refuses to believe what several folks here have already written or he's hoping that there is a resident psychic here that will all of a sudden show up and impart their wisdom on him.

DOAKES, for the 10th time: nobody here has a clue what is going to happen with prices. If they say they do, they're lying. We have seasoned ticket brokers here who have already made this abundantly clear. If we win in Pittsburgh, ticket prices will only go up. If we lose both, they'll almost definitely go down. If we split, who knows? Just put on your big boy pants, make a freaking decision and live with the consequences.

I would say considering its Pittsburgh and ECF, it's not even THAT simple. If there's drama in games 1-3 or some other story starts to unfold, prices will be affected in some way. It's going to be a very volatile market the next week or so.

Done.
I bought mine for section 329 game 4.
Base was 245 with fees it came to 279.

I got the row I wanted.
I decided to wait until after game 1, the market did drop slightly from Thursday, but not too much.

I am satisfied that for the section I wanted, I got a good deal.

The only problem with the ticket is, downloadedable only.
I like to have a print copy.
Would any of you mind perhaps after the game mailing me a printed ticket for my collection?

Other than that, I appreciate your help, and if any of you want to catch up for a minute or so PM me.

Hard to believe this will be my first game in Boston since the Pens opener in October 2008, cannot believe it will be almost five seasons when I used to go 15 times a season.

Unfortunately they don't exist. Alot of Season ticket holders weren't too thrilled about this

None, unless the very few sold through the box office in person. Those are extremely rare though, 85% of the building is already sold to season ticket holders. For that, I would go to a larger forum. Maybe Craigslist. Scored a game 7 ticket vs Vancouver that way, for my collection

So what do you STH's get if not a hard copy?
And when you re-sell, is it just electronic?

Yup.
Wasn't happy about the regular season ones being this way. Reason was quick turnover from lockout.
There was no excuse for playoff tickets not being printed.
I bet they try to keep it this way going forward.

See, now even if prices go down 20 bucks (and I don't think they will at this point) then at least you have peace of mind between now and the game. Don't worry about what you paid...YOU'RE IN

Exactly. At this price twenty bucks I can handle. I had hoped they would go down to 175 but that wasn't going to happen so now I'm set.

The caps don't do hard copy too, they give a debit like card. Times have changed in this way.

It's more along the lines of the teams making it harder for you to resell tickets for a profit.

ticket

be happy with your buy, I decided to wait today and I don't think it was a good idea. Prices are not going down, I definitively need to buy mine (Friday night game) on stubhub probably before game time tomorrow.

Amazing how much cheaper game one and game two in Pittsburgh have been. Around $150-170 each for front row balcony tix to either game, depending on section. Around $100 to get in the door.

Has to be the economy there, and lack of disposable income for many people.

Pittsburgh tickets were the most expensive US tickets during the regular season.
I bet on gameday Bruins tickets go down, they always go as people start to panic, but that is a risk I could not take.

One promise I make to myself...once I buy I will not re-look at prices!

The sites I suggest are:
Tiqiq
Stubhub
ticketmaster

Actually, some season ticket holders did get hard tickets for regular season and playoffs. Not designer ones, just the generic box office kind.

The reason: They had their ticket forwarding privileges revoked due to many screw ups (forwarding sold hard tickets) last season. The woman with about 70 season tickets falls under this category.
