It doesn't look good for the Rangers.
I guess for ECC it will be Bruins vs. Penguins/Senators

Wonder if this is true or an excuse for the 5 GA.

If Lundqvist is out, the Rangers are done, right?

Who is the Rangers' back up? I can't imagine the Rangers can come back without Lundqvist. But then I also am reluctant to put tons is stock into the Lunqvist injured until he either loses more games or isn't starting.

Biron is their backup but not sure how capable is he now.

He took a shot late in the 3rd, right after the dumb NBC guys were talking about pulling him to let him rest for the next game when there was 6 minutes to go and losing by 3. About 1 minute or so after that he took a high shot to his shoulder/arm which resulted in the injury.

Was it from the Paille deflection?

It was after that play that he drew attention to it.

So does it appear the shot itself hurt him or he pulled something trying to make a save?

Bruins-Pens ECF is shaping up to be a reality. I've got Bruins in 7.

this will make a huge difference. if it is just sore because of a shot he will most likely be fine. if he pulled something it could be worse.

It was near the end of the game, 4 minutes to go sounds right.
From what I remember, it was while trying to make a save.
One of the NBC guys mentioned it right when it happened.
Go Devils!

He played the rest of the game, and at the moment of the injury it didn't look like anything too serious. I'm guessing that he just tweaked it and that hopefully, for the Rangers, he'll be ready to play next game. I'll be very very surprised if he's out anything more than 1 game, and likely not even a game.

It happened when Paille defleted a shot on net. Lundqvist took a while getting back in his net. Skating around his net in obvious discomfort.

If he pulled something-that would be bad-if it's just an stinger from a shot he will play through it.

Probably injured it wailing on Dan Girardi after the game.

I was embarrassed to have DG on the ice tonight. Hopefully he recovers. By far his worst NHL game.

If only we had right handed defensive depth
