Well, that experiment didn't last long.
Older Euros are hit and miss. It's harder for a 27 year old to adapt to a lot of change than a 20 year old.

Habs did well with Diaz, real good pick up at no cost.

Stalberg would be an interesting choice to replace Ryder, he's not a 30 goalscorer by any means but he can do a lot more. But the skill on this team is overrated, we can't get away with replacing one of only 2 proven 30+ goal guys with a grinder.

Say what you want about Ryder, but this team has a hard time scoring goals. Part of it means crashing the net more, but if the guys crashing the net don't have the hands to capitalize, it won't solve the problem.
Isn't Torres playing with Marleau and Couture?

15 goals while hitting everything in sight + defensive responsibility is nothing to sneeze at. If we had a rookie playing top 6 minutes with a real good all around game nobody would have a problem with it.

I think the Sharks move him around. I'd gladly take Torres though.

You have to remember though, Gionta won't be healthy to start the season, and Bourque is injury prone. We are an injury away from having last year-esque wing depth, especially if one or both of the Gally's have a sophimore slump and Desharnais doesn't improve. The skill up front on this team is overrated.

Totally sucks for them, he was one of their better forwards..

Lol. There's no way they will. Karlsson is the "maestro".

That's why I don't want him. He will never learn. He doesn't give a ****. He goes on the ice and his goal is to kill someone.

Looks like the Blackhawks will either sign Stalberg OR Bickell, not both. They're leaning toward Bickell but if he hits the open market MB should definitely go after him. As for Stalberg, he'd be great on our third line but is a punching bag and disappears in the playoffs ...

Stalberg has always seemed like a guy that benefited from the Hawks' tremendous depth. Not a high-scoring player, neither is he much of a power forward. Don't really see the point of getting into a bidding war for a middling scorer.

Guys like Clarkson, Horton, Morrow, Gordon and Nystrom seem like much better targets considering our team makeup and needs.

In depth roles, of course. They are serviceable 4th liners who can play 3rd line if need be.

Nystrom would be very similar to Prust.

Didn't they play together?

And Gordon could maybe be the equivalent to McClement to the Leafs.

I'd take Nystrom, gladly, if he's cheap enough.

Red Wings are playing disgustingly bad. Can't even break out properly.

The Hawks offense is kind of ridiculous.

Hawks are like a swarm of black flies. You keep swatting and they keep coming. Wings are overwhelmed.

give the hawks the cup already! Excited to watch them play LA. That series will be better than the finals, imo.

Hawks decided the game was over in the 3rd, scored 3 goals
