No reason for the Wild to move Seto for that package. Thanks but no thanks.

Stajan would be intriguing as a 3rd line center if we got rid of Brodziak but no interest in Horak whatsoever. We already have enough natural bottom 6 centers in Brodziak, Konopka, Mitchell and Rupp.

It's probably not likely, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Johansson is moved. That said, trading him for a draft pick moves the team backwards in terms of competing right now. I know the pick itself could be traded, but I think they'd probably lean towards getting an NHL player or a prospect that can play next year.

I'm pretty sure it's been kicked around before, but I'd imagine the Caps would be more interested in a deal based around Johansson and Giordano with picks/prospects added to each side to balance things out. I doubt Giordano is available, but that is the type of move I could see the Caps making.

The last thing the flames need is more wingers... especially at the expense of a center and a good young player

The Caps need to shed about $5M in salary this offseason, assuming they retain all of the RFAs and UFAs.

Unless George goes crazy and locks up Johansson for 5+ years, he should remain one of the cheaper top six wingers on the roster. His contract will likely be in the $2-2.75M range. If he's attempting to save cap space, moving Ward, Laich, or Erat would be more effective.

Caps can receive sooo much more for MJ than 28th or so overall pick. He's a 20ish pick that worked out.

Paging Mr. Laich. Your flight to <other NHL city> is about to leave.
